My Favourite Smurf

can’t really remember how long ago I watched the smurfs. It was back in the 1990s together with the other classic cartoons like the Jetsons Johnny Bravo, Carmen Sandiego, Popeye, Flintstones and much more! (you get the drift). Thank goodness for Nuffnang’s ‘MY Favourite Smurf’ contest or else my memory of them would’ve been suppressed forever.

The Smurfs

My Favourite Smurf is Smurfette, who wouldn’t like her? My baby cousins are infatuated by the mere thought of her, screaming whenever they see her in the trailer on Youtube!

Her long blonde hair, long eyelashes, white dress with matching white heels show that she’s an attractive little creature with quite some unique sense of fashion.

Photobucket

Despite having a similar face with Fiona’s ogre face in the movie Shrek, she also happens to be the only female smurf in the movie. This means she can get away with anything and she has no competitors, which makes her even more desirable! Because guy smurfs can’t smurf guy smurfs, this obviously makes her smurf-able! XD

What’s more it’s been announced Katy Perry is providing the voice-over for Smurfette, so she will definitely be elegant and alluring at the same time!

Photobucket

Now, Smurfette plays an important role in getting the Smurfs back to the Smurf Village. Aside from being all beautiful and gorgeous, Smurfette also possess extraordinary intelligence! To get them all back to the Smurf Village, Smurfette would trace back the location where they first turned up, which is none other than New York Central Park.

Photobucket

The next step she takes would require an intense level of observation and of course, some lucky charm. It might be a difficult task, but it would not take long for Smurfette to discover the hidden pathway planted somewhere within the Central Park which could lead them back to the Smurf Village!

Getting back to the village wouldn’t differ much from getting out of there. In this case, the key person is none other than Gargamel, the evil wizard, the only one who had the power to trigger the pathway to the Smurf’s magical land. So, how is Smurfette going to trick Gargamel to the Central Park? Easy, just use little mice to lure his pet kitty!

Photobucket

Though the process sounds easy, there are uncountable ordeals along the way which require a fair amount of wit and determination from the Smurfs. As they land on the Smurf Village, protected by their newly-developed barrier from the evil wizard, their New York encounters would become a great history among the Smurf community forever! :)

Check out the premiere screening details by Nuffnang. It would be held on 24th August, which is my birthday! The more reason I should win myself these tickets to The Smurfs! *excited* XD

Movie Review: Super 8

I don’t usually post up movie review but tonight, I went for the premiere screening of such an awesome movie, it made me feel obligated to share with all of you! Courtesy of Nuffnang, I was one of the lucky bloggers who got the opportunity to watch Super 8 by Steven Spielberg on the big screen a day before its showing.

Photobucket

Here’s the trailer of Super 8, in case you haven’t watched it.

Now, doesn’t it leave us ponder what could be inside the train? Indeed, we went for the movie with overwhelming anticipation and excitement! The suspense was so intense I grabbed my hands hard throughout the beginning of the movie! Super 8 kept us in the dark (literally and not literally) for quite a while until it finally revealed the creature.

So what the heck was inside the train??? No spoiler for you! You can easily guess what it is though, something predictable! LOL.

For the superb and breath-taking effects, you wouldn’t regret watching Super 8! Oh, the story surrounds a group of kids (13 year old or so) which makes it even more interesting.

Photobucket

If you happen to watch it in the cinema (bet you probably will!), don’t leave right after the credits. Stay on your seat for a while until you’ll see a lame and funny part XD

I’m a Pirate, Take Me To Stranger Tides!

The best 3 things about being a pirate:

1. Being able to travel the world and meet new people.

Photobucket

I would do anything possible to see the beauty and wonders of the world and be acquainted with island dwellers of all nations. At the same time of discovering treasures, I would bring along a camera to capture the beautiful attractions, for it is a wonderful life time experience which could not be bought even with all my treasures. Meanwhile, I would pick up some new tribal languages from the local tribes and learn a variety of cultures during my short stay.

2. Being to provide a “home” to orphans by recruiting them as my entourage.

Photobucket

By doing such charity act, I’m also expanding my group of pirates. One stone two birds! Now who wouldn’t agree that I am Miss Angelic Soul Pirate? Teehee.

3. Being able to hold a barbeque feast anytime.

Photobucket

All I need is an island, a bonfire and some fresh newly-caught creatures (be it from land or sea). Oh, not forgetting a bunch of party people who happened to be my entourage! Life of a pirate is supposed to be stress-free and enjoyable after all! Gotta party every night and indulge ourselves in yummy delicacies!

Now, wouldn’t you want to be a pirate? XD

Here’s a little reward for your pirate fantasy: Premiere Screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 3D by Nuffnang!

Nuffnang Sharing Session @ Frames Cafe

It’s been a while since I last blogged about my social outing. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped attending events and meeting new people though. Most of the time my massive workload and my frequent fatigue simply defeat me, the moment I reach home, all I want to do is a few minutes of bed time reading before heading off to sleep. However, to prove that I, despite being caught up with uni work, still maintain the usual social life, I’m going to post up a few photos taken during Nuffnang Sharing Session at Frames Café last night.

Photobucket

I remember the first sharing session I attended 2 years back during which Cheesie and Cindy were the guest bloggers. Coincidently, this time both of them were the guest bloggers too aside from Audrey.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Audrey and Timothy, boss of Nuffnang.

Photobucket

Surprised to see Xiaxue who came to KL for the weekend.

Photobucket

Xinxian and Michelle, the two gorgeous nuffies :)

Photobucket

Didn’t really had chance to talk to Huiwen before this until then.

Photobucket

Met Sherry and Melissa for the first time.

Photobucket

There were a lot more bloggers who were present that night but I can’t post up all the photos. Only picked a few in which my face doesn’t look fat like a giant moon cake. Wtfreak.

Frames Café embraces the concept of photography which happened to be the owners’ hobby. That explains the vast collection of framed original photos on the wall. Totally love the atmosphere there! All the food served that night were quite ordinary though.

Group photo credit to Jackie.

Thank you Nuffnang and Frames Café for the wondering sharing session! :)

The Season of the Witch is Here

sotw_poster

What scares me the most about witches?

First of all, their ugly features that could be vividly implanted in my mind.

DEU Film Sex and the City

Oops, sorry wrong picture!

I mean, this! Teehee.

drag_me_to_hell_witch

Even with one single glance which takes less than 3 seconds, the horrible sight of witches would always appear on my mind.

In order to forget about the witches, I even tried staring at handsome wizards instead.

harry-potter-with-wand-wallpaper

Stare harder.

harry-potter-with-wand-wallpaper

Try again.

harry-potter-with-wand-wallpaper

No, it doesn’t work! Just because I stare at the picture of a handsome wizard, it doesn’t mean I can get my mind off the ugly witch! Deep in my brain, the witch would still show up and haunt me especially in the middle of night.

So scary I don't even want to post up that picture again.

Furthermore, the curses they cast on beautiful people.

Think of Little Mermaid!

little mermaid

And Snow White!

Snow_White

And Sleeping Beauty!

sleeping-beauty

What do they have in common? Yea, Disney Princess but that’s not the point. They were all cursed by witches until they meet their respective prince charming.

Who knows one day a witch might cast a spell on me? Will my prince come save me then?

DSC_2462-Edit

But face the truth, life is not always like Disney fairytale! In real life, what are the possibilities that you will be rescued by a prince from the witch’s curse?

And even if you happened to be rescued by a prince, chances are he is probably Jack Black.

jack black copy

Oh no! I think I would rather stay on with the spell.

Now, what scares you most about witches? :)

My Magical Journey

narniamain_img

My magical journey begins somewhere in the realm of the White Witch. My adventure below is narrated by my newly-hired servant, Mr. Insanity from the world of Narnia.

map-copy

The dethroned white witch plotted to take the throne of Narnia with a plan she devised for 15 years. While on her chariot together with her army nearing the Realms of the White Witch, her back started having some problems which greatly affected her plans.

The White Witch did not want her army to know and had them camp in the forest. She summoned the white dove and sent a snow crystal with her words engraved carved by the last powers of her magical staff and instructed the little dove to travel to the mortal world and find a girl with good hands. The dove flew into the ice lake portal in search for a match.

Somewhere in the human world, a family trip to the Himalayas was followed by Kate and her family who owned a massage parlor in Thailand. Kate was angry.

Moments ago she argued with her brother for dropping her cendol and her parents scolded her to shut up which was why she ran away. Kate walked as far as she could climbing over the tip of the mountain and saw a full view of the mountain.

She started sobbing in misery and looked up into the cold blue sky searching for comfort. Kate noticed something shining in the sky, a crystal fell from the dove into the snow as it continued circling above her. Kate got up and picked up the crystal. She rubbed the frost off the crystal and engravings said ‘The Onion Witch’.

Suddenly a penguin appeared infront of her and sucked her into its mouth, followed by the dove. Kate woke up and found herself infront of the White Witch. She was in awe to see such a sexy angry woman with pale skin.

W.Witch: Girl, I need a massage.

Kate: What will I get in return?

W.Witch: I have a Ginza Tanaka’s purse worth $1.9 million, or would you like Chanel’s “Diamond Forever” Classic Bag which you would probably pick the…

Kate: Nothing can beat Chanel, I’ll take it.

Kate the massager celebrity had 6 years of massaging experience and was popularly known for guest-massaging Barack Obama’s back.

The White Witch laid down on the back of the chariot and asked Kate to take care of her polar bears.

After two hour of resting the Witch got up and zapped Kate with her magical staff.

Kate: You scammed me!!!!

The White Witch grinned. ‘I will never let anyone touch my Chanel’. The Witch turned around as Kate reappeared back in the Himalayas.

Due to Kate’s misfortune, not only did she get conned by the *itch, it was because of Kate who was bad at doing business that the White Witch successfully took over the kingdom of Narnia and became the Queen.

And the revenge begins….

IF I HAD RAPUNZEL’S HAIR

Oh boy, don’t we all love fairy tale? Now here’s one from Disney showing in the cinemas on 25th November!

Photobucket

IF I HAD RAPUNZEL’S HAIR, life would be a pain in the ass than what it already is right now.
I wouldn’t be so happy feeling that heavy nuisance scraping all over dirt and poop each step I take.

At the same time, it might soak in the toilet bowl and get flushed down together with my sh**.

Photobucket

I can already imagine all the weird things that would start living in my hair each day I sleep. Birds, lizards and insects would live in it. Icky!

If I cross the road, my hair wouldn’t make it in time and it’d get run over by cars and motorcycles! :(

Photobucket

It’s also dangerous to have hair that long, if I ride a rollercoaster the rail would catch my hair and rip it off my scalp! Just like the disaster we heard which occurred in Genting some time ago.

Come to think of it, having hair that long has their advantages too.

I could save a drowning person provided I don’t get pulled in as well.

Photobucket

I would be in high demand by photographers and hair stylists for Fashion shows.

While washing my blanket, I could substitute it using my hair to keep me warm at night.

Now, may I present you my best worst hair! Scary isn’t? And it wasn’t even close to 4 feet! Can you imagine it being 70 feet long??? Jeez.

Photobucket

I’d never want Rapunzel’s hair! Noooooooooooooooooooo!

Photobucket

Anyway, click here and check out how you can win premiere screening tickets to watch Rapunzel!
