Happy 21st Birthday!

Officially 21 and legal.

Happy birthday to me! This year is a big one. After all that anticipation, the moment finally arrived. They say once you turn 21, you would be old and grumpy and depressed. But for me, I was overwhelmed by excitement! I have never really thought how being 21 would feel like. But right now, I’m so happy that I’ve finally reached that age, and I certainly look forward to all the great things life would offer me from this point onwards!

Thank you so much for all the wishes! My BB has been beeping once every 5 seconds since 12am. Keep all the wishes coming! I do read every single one of them. They really make me smile and warm my hearts. I’m so touched knowing that I’ve got you guys who love me and care for me. Really appreciate it! :)

Meanwhile, here’s a surprise in my mail box the other day. A letter from down under! I could recognized Katie’s beautiful handwriting at once. Previously she asked me for address saying that she bought something online for herself. Such a good liar I didn’t suspect anything! But apparently it was a birthday card for me filled with all her love! So happy and touched when I read it, I would have burst out in tears if I weren’t in the lecture hall. Teehee.

And not forgetting, my very first birthday present this year! It was a surprise at 12am from Sammy. I would have never expected him to give me anything at that precise moment, especially not something wrapped with such cheesy wrapper. It was really sweet and touching! He even wrote me the sweetest birthday wish on his wall! *blushes*

In case you miss me, here’s a photo of me with erm. . pizza. Wtfreak.

Let's cut the crap and continue the party! XD

My Favourite Smurf

can’t really remember how long ago I watched the smurfs. It was back in the 1990s together with the other classic cartoons like the Jetsons Johnny Bravo, Carmen Sandiego, Popeye, Flintstones and much more! (you get the drift). Thank goodness for Nuffnang’s ‘MY Favourite Smurf’ contest or else my memory of them would’ve been suppressed forever.

The Smurfs

My Favourite Smurf is Smurfette, who wouldn’t like her? My baby cousins are infatuated by the mere thought of her, screaming whenever they see her in the trailer on Youtube!

Her long blonde hair, long eyelashes, white dress with matching white heels show that she’s an attractive little creature with quite some unique sense of fashion.

Photobucket

Despite having a similar face with Fiona’s ogre face in the movie Shrek, she also happens to be the only female smurf in the movie. This means she can get away with anything and she has no competitors, which makes her even more desirable! Because guy smurfs can’t smurf guy smurfs, this obviously makes her smurf-able! XD

What’s more it’s been announced Katy Perry is providing the voice-over for Smurfette, so she will definitely be elegant and alluring at the same time!

Photobucket

Now, Smurfette plays an important role in getting the Smurfs back to the Smurf Village. Aside from being all beautiful and gorgeous, Smurfette also possess extraordinary intelligence! To get them all back to the Smurf Village, Smurfette would trace back the location where they first turned up, which is none other than New York Central Park.

Photobucket

The next step she takes would require an intense level of observation and of course, some lucky charm. It might be a difficult task, but it would not take long for Smurfette to discover the hidden pathway planted somewhere within the Central Park which could lead them back to the Smurf Village!

Getting back to the village wouldn’t differ much from getting out of there. In this case, the key person is none other than Gargamel, the evil wizard, the only one who had the power to trigger the pathway to the Smurf’s magical land. So, how is Smurfette going to trick Gargamel to the Central Park? Easy, just use little mice to lure his pet kitty!

Photobucket

Though the process sounds easy, there are uncountable ordeals along the way which require a fair amount of wit and determination from the Smurfs. As they land on the Smurf Village, protected by their newly-developed barrier from the evil wizard, their New York encounters would become a great history among the Smurf community forever! :)

Check out the premiere screening details by Nuffnang. It would be held on 24th August, which is my birthday! The more reason I should win myself these tickets to The Smurfs! *excited* XD

Bangkok Trip Part 2 - Yummy Street Food

Before I forget about my recent awesome Bangkok trip, let me show you some photos from the first day of our vacation.

Jess and I in our little cozy room.

Photobucket

I brought my laptop knowing that Imm Fusion provides complementary wireless access. You can read about my first Bangkok post here.

Photobucket

BTS Sky Train, our mode of transport everyday.

Photobucket

One of the main things I love about Bangkok apart from shopping is none other than their street food! On the way to Platinum Mall, there were plenty of vendors selling all sorts of finger food and drinks.

Photobucket

Coconut drinks FTW!

Photobucket

Satay-like pork which you don’t get in Malaysia.

Photobucket

There are certain things that I didn’t think of trying though.

Photobucket

Shopping spree at Platinum Mall! It’s a wholesale fashion city where you can get pretty clothes mostly priced at RM20 provided if you purchase more than 3 pieces of any clothings from one shop. Everywhere in the mall we see girls pulling luggage full of clothes XD

Photobucket

Some cool mannequin they’ve got. HAHA no I didn’t do it!

Photobucket

Food at the Platinum food court wasn’t too bad. I still prefer fried oyster in Malaysia though.

Photobucket

Tomyam seafood everyday! Teehee.

Photobucket

At night, Loo brought us to this wantanmee stall near Asia Hotel.

Photobucket

Gotta love the texture of the wantanmee. It’s really yummy unlike the machine-made wantanmee around KL. The taste is rather different from ours as it is sweet instead of salty.

Photobucket

It comes together with sugar (not salt!), chili powder and sweet sauce. These people in Thailand seem to have an unusual liking for sugar yo!

Photobucket

Crunchy siew york! We were getting mouthful orgasm while hearing the “krak krak krak” sounds as the vendor cut it into pieces! XD

Photobucket

Everyone was tired at night, except Loo and I who decided to go down for supper. There’s this stall right in front of our hotel that sells beef, pork and chicken noodles or rice.

Beef soup noodles was sooooooooooooooo good! And it costs only RM3!

Photobucket

Is there anywhere in KL where I can get RM3 noodles with that much of “liao”?

Photobucket

The usual spices. I found them rather unnecessary though, since the food itself already tastes beyond my expectation.

Photobucket

Spotted something while passing by the food court in Tesco. Want to taste some poo, anyone? LOL!

Chelsea vs Malaysia 2011

Aside from the training, we couldn’t afford to miss out the match, could we? Free tickets from MyNoobie XD

Bukit Jalil stadium was filled with people hours before the match.

Photobucket

The usual scene in Malaysia before every game. These people are praying by the way, in case you’re wondering. I’m kinda confused by the dude squatting on the Malaysian flag. He’s wearing Chelsea jersey and Malaysian bandanna at the same time. So which team is he supporting?? Make up your mind, dude! -.-

Photobucket

Young Chelsea supporters.

Photobucket

The real match. Malaysia vs Chelsea.

Photobucket

A closer look of the players. Okay not like you can see their faces in my blurry photo. Teehee.

Photobucket

The three brothers: Ken and Alex who are both Chelsea supporters and Sammy whom erm. . I assume is a Malaysian supporter since he chose to wear yellow! Tsk tsk. That’s the Angry Bird tee I got from Bangkok by the way! XD

Photobucket

Chelsea vs Malaysia 1-0. I guess you already know T.T

Last but not least, thanks to Samsung Malaysia and MyNoobie again! :)

From the unusual sweaty Kate. Meep!

Training with Chelsea Coaches

Still remember Chelsea match a while back then? Courtesy of Samsung Malaysia, a few bloggers and I were invited to the training session with Chelsea coaches at Chelsea Blue Pitch.

Photobucket

I always knew soccer is a tiring game. But now I’ve finally tried it for myself! For an unhealthy stick girl like me who had never done any exercise in her entire life, even the first 5 minutes of running were enough to have made me nearly collapse!

Looking happy with the ball despite the hardcore training. Wtfreak.

Photobucket

I am absolutely grateful for the opportunity! Aside from the pre-match training, we even played a real match! Of course, there’s no doubt that a “kaki bangku” like me could only run here and there and pretend that I’m defending for the team. HAHA!

Of course, I couldn’t be happier to meet the charming coaches! From left: Ian Woodroffe, Jamie Greenwood, Keith Harmes and Sam Hubert. I look like a petite being squashed in between them! LOL.

Photobucket

Handsome Jamie!
