[ADV] TGV Indulge @ One Utama

There is no place better than TGV Indulge @ One Utama for an unforgettable movie experience. As the name suggests, TGV Indulge is unlike the usual cinema hall you visit. For the price of only RM45, you get to be pampered with luxurious and comfort without burning a hole in the wallet.

We already felt like VIPs the moment we were greeted at the entrance. There is a private ticket counter specially designated for Indulge moviegoers. No queue, no hassles.

It would be advisable to arrive an hour or two earlier prior to your movie to indulge yourselves at the lounge/restaurant. Great spot for a date with your significant half as well as an outing with your group of friends. The dining area is designed in such a way to emphasize the atas concept of Indulge. Dim lighting and an overall soothing ambience which takes all your worries off the weekend.

Indulge offers quite a selection of items on its menu. We managed to try out a few dishes which surprisingly were above par. The price was quite reasonable as well.

Oven Roasted Tomato Soup – RM14

Not a fan of tomato but I enjoyed this soup as it was sweet (not sour as I thought). The taste was further enhanced by bits of crabs inside.

Smoked Meatballs – RM16

Butter Mushroom Tempura – RM14

Crunchy deep fried on the outside and juicy on the inside. We definitely enjoyed the mushrooms for appetizer.

Rocket & fruits – RM18

Pan Baked Mango Chicken – RM26

Broiled Salmon Kabayaki – RM32

One of my favourite dish that night. The taste was as good as the presentation itself. I like it as the salmon wasn’t overcooked and it did not lose its tenderness. Even the sides - sauteed mushroom, asparagus and mashed potatoes were great! Finished every bit of it :P

Grilled Lamb Rack – RM48

Enjoyed the medium rare serving which was really juicy and yummy. Slightly charred at the side which blends well with the sweet chili mint sauce.

Slow-Cooked Seafood Rice – RM38

Was quite stuffed by the time we reached this final dish. We were served our bottled beer of choice before adjourning into the cinema. It’s okay to bring in your beer into the cinema too. How cool is that, having beer while watching a movie!

Be prepared to be amazed by Indulge’s cinema hall. Unlike your ordinary cinema, this one is huge and spacious with reclining sofas and personalized call-waiter service. Don’t worry if you forget to bring your jacket as blankets are already provided on every seat the moment you walk in. Not just any cheap blanket but thick and cosy comforter that could keep you warm! ^^

We were really thrilled to be able to be able to adjust the sofa to properly place our legs. No more sitting upright for 2 long hours!

Besides the sumptuous food we had, hot tea and chocolate brownies were served in the hall that night (courtesy of TGV Indulge and MHB). If you ever feel like getting some bites anytime throughout the movie, just press the button on the little table next to you and the waiter will be at your service. Really thoughtful and convenient, isn’t it??

Overall it was a wonderful experience, although ironically the movie we had that night, Fantastic 4 wasn’t so fantastic after all. I would recommend a blockbuster or a high-rated movie if you were to visit Indulge.

Since it was first opened last year, TGV Indulge has also hosted several private and corporate functions. Feel free to check out more from their website: http://www.tgv.com.my/cinemas/halls/indulge

You know where to get pampered this weekend! :)

TGV Indulge @ One Utama

Posh cinema experience at none other than TGV Indulge!

Queuing at the general box office is too mainstream. Now you can collect your ticket from the private counter *proud*

RM90 for a pair of movie tickets. Definitely worth it for the amazing VIP experience. Just make sure you choose a blockbuster movie.

Full access to the exclusive lounge and fine dining area. I have never been so pleased waiting for a movie. Man, I could sit there for an hour! LOL.

Felt silly for bringing along my blazer to the cinema. It wasn't until I entered the hall that I realized every seat comes with a thick cosy comforter! The price we pay is more than enough for laundry cost. Teehee.

Love the spacious reclining seats! My first time lying down and watching a movie in the cinema! (lying on someone else's shoulder doesn't count :x)

Meal service is available any time throughout the movie as there is a call button affixed on the side table. They even serve fine-dining cuisines like steak, lamb and pasta! *gasp*

I have not been to GSC Gold Class so I'm not in the position to compare. But anyhow I think everyone should visit TGV Indulge at least once and be amazed by the luxurious experience it has to offer!

Looking forward to the next blockbuster movie so I could visit there again XD

Have a Lovely Valentine's Week

Hey peeps! I must apologize for the lack of update. Have been slacking my ass watching series in my bedroom all day long and recently I’ve just transferred plenty more series from le friend which would probably last me for quite a while (also, turning me into a couch potato anti-social introvert wtfreak).

I hope all of you had a lovely Valentine? Mine was great. No further elaboration needed but just a hint, Valentine seems so much better when I’m single. I know this sounds ridiculous especially with single people out there complaining about it being #foreveralone day, but really, foreveralone is just a matter of will! You might expect me to have gone through some romantic Valentine celebration in the past throughout my previous relationships but nah, they weren’t even worthy of being reminisced. The ex-es must have been lousy. Yea either that or me being a high-expectation perfectionist like I’ve always been.

Valentine’s Day = Show Off Day = Whose Bf is Sweeter Day = Who Received a Bigger Bouquet Day

For that I’m going to join the fun and show off my roses too!

Pink in the weekend! Prices were already crazy then (TOP posing #likeaboss ^^)

Photobucket

Then there’s red (TOP on February calendar. What a lovely month!) XD

Photobucket

White Idk how the heck they turned yellow! Still looks good anyhow. He gave me chocolate too! Just exactly what I needed XD

Photobucket

Ok la those bouquets are from different people. You wouldn’t think a guy would be dumb enough to buy me so many bouquets after all, not when the prices are hiked up this week. If he did so I would be so mad at him for not getting me something better like a charm bracelet (I’ve been wanting one so badly!).

Enough of showing off! The whole purpose of this post is to do a write up for 2 movie screening I’ve attended this week.

Beauty and the Beast 3D at GSC 1U on Monday.

Photobucket

After watching Journey 2 iMax at TGV Pyramid the other day, I must say all other 3D movies are rather disappointing. If you’re looking forward to the 3D effect, screw it! But aside from that the movie was classic lah. Like the old Beauty & the Beast. Nothing new in fact. All the fairy tale magical crap and happily ever after. You know how it goes.

This morning I watched This Means War at GSC Mid Valley. The best movie this year so far!

Photobucket

So many funny scenes it totally cracked me up! It’s about 2 spies who happened to be best partners falling in love with the same girl. Then started the competition and war between the 2 rivals.

I have always been a fan of Reese Witherspoon after watching Legally Blonde! I know saying that makes a bimbo. But don’t you think she’s awesome? Teehee.

Chris Pine and Tom Hardy are so cute!!! If I were her I wouldn’t know who to choose either! Tom is British, and she thought that was his weakness. Wtfreak??? How is being British a weakness??? British guys are charming and I would die to date one okay!!!!

Anyway I don’t normally say this but this time you gotta watch the movie! It’s awesome and you won’t regret it, I swear! Even the ending made me laughed like siao XD

Will be attending my third movie screening tonight – The Iron Lady played by Meryl Streep. Hopefully it’s not boring.

Okay not photo of me in this post because I am so ugly T_T

Maybe just one.

How do you like my Chanel Rouge Coco Gabrielle lipstick? ♡

My Favourite Smurf

can’t really remember how long ago I watched the smurfs. It was back in the 1990s together with the other classic cartoons like the Jetsons Johnny Bravo, Carmen Sandiego, Popeye, Flintstones and much more! (you get the drift). Thank goodness for Nuffnang’s ‘MY Favourite Smurf’ contest or else my memory of them would’ve been suppressed forever.

The Smurfs

My Favourite Smurf is Smurfette, who wouldn’t like her? My baby cousins are infatuated by the mere thought of her, screaming whenever they see her in the trailer on Youtube!

Her long blonde hair, long eyelashes, white dress with matching white heels show that she’s an attractive little creature with quite some unique sense of fashion.

Photobucket

Despite having a similar face with Fiona’s ogre face in the movie Shrek, she also happens to be the only female smurf in the movie. This means she can get away with anything and she has no competitors, which makes her even more desirable! Because guy smurfs can’t smurf guy smurfs, this obviously makes her smurf-able! XD

What’s more it’s been announced Katy Perry is providing the voice-over for Smurfette, so she will definitely be elegant and alluring at the same time!

Photobucket

Now, Smurfette plays an important role in getting the Smurfs back to the Smurf Village. Aside from being all beautiful and gorgeous, Smurfette also possess extraordinary intelligence! To get them all back to the Smurf Village, Smurfette would trace back the location where they first turned up, which is none other than New York Central Park.

Photobucket

The next step she takes would require an intense level of observation and of course, some lucky charm. It might be a difficult task, but it would not take long for Smurfette to discover the hidden pathway planted somewhere within the Central Park which could lead them back to the Smurf Village!

Getting back to the village wouldn’t differ much from getting out of there. In this case, the key person is none other than Gargamel, the evil wizard, the only one who had the power to trigger the pathway to the Smurf’s magical land. So, how is Smurfette going to trick Gargamel to the Central Park? Easy, just use little mice to lure his pet kitty!

Photobucket

Though the process sounds easy, there are uncountable ordeals along the way which require a fair amount of wit and determination from the Smurfs. As they land on the Smurf Village, protected by their newly-developed barrier from the evil wizard, their New York encounters would become a great history among the Smurf community forever! :)

Check out the premiere screening details by Nuffnang. It would be held on 24th August, which is my birthday! The more reason I should win myself these tickets to The Smurfs! *excited* XD

Movie Review: Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

Courtesy of Chevrolet, I was one of the first who managed to watch Transformers 3 in Malaysia. There was a contest on twitter by @Chevrolet_MY whereby the winners would get a pair of premiere ticket to catch the blockbuster movie at GSC Mid Valley 2 days ago.

Photobucket

Chevrolet was so generous they gave goodie bags to all winners and guests! XD

Photobucket

Our screening was in 3D. To be honest, I really dislike 3D movies. Throughout the two and a half hours, the 3D glasses kept slipping off my nose so I had to keep holding it with my hand! Wtfreak. I guess my nose is way too small and narrow to support the glasses :(

Okay leaving that aside, I wouldn’t recommend you to watch Transformers 3 in 3D, even though I know many of you had already bought the tickets a week beforehand. Nowadays almost every movie is so-called 3D, but how many of them are actually as good as 3D Avatar? Almost none, except a few animated movies. Transformers 3 doesn’t have that much 3D effect. If it weren’t the glasses that bothered me, I would have forgotten that we were watching it in 3D!

I think the movie was good, but not exactly mind-blowing. I guess after the previous Transformers, we all are used to all the machine transformation, fighting and stuff. Nothing new in terms of special effect. However, in this latest movie you get to see more Autobots and Decepticons as all of them gathered on earth and fought each other.

Photobucket

What about the new girl who replaced Megan Fox in Transformers 3? I think she’s equally hot and I wouldn’t mind seeing her instead of Megan Fox! LOL. Her lips are so sexy I swear I stared at it whenever I could! Her presumably English accent sounds rather exotic to me.

Photobucket

Anyhow, go watch it if you haven’t! I heard that the tickets have been sold out for the first week though. What’s left are the lousy front row seats. Hiak hiak.

Once again, thank you @Chevrolet_MY for the invitation and not forgetting the free coke + popcorn! Guys, start following them Twitter today! And @copykate if you haven’t! Tsk tsk.

Rating: 3.5/5 (already plus-ed 0.5 for the sexy female lead! Teehee)

Movie Review: Super 8

I don’t usually post up movie review but tonight, I went for the premiere screening of such an awesome movie, it made me feel obligated to share with all of you! Courtesy of Nuffnang, I was one of the lucky bloggers who got the opportunity to watch Super 8 by Steven Spielberg on the big screen a day before its showing.

Photobucket

Here’s the trailer of Super 8, in case you haven’t watched it.

Now, doesn’t it leave us ponder what could be inside the train? Indeed, we went for the movie with overwhelming anticipation and excitement! The suspense was so intense I grabbed my hands hard throughout the beginning of the movie! Super 8 kept us in the dark (literally and not literally) for quite a while until it finally revealed the creature.

So what the heck was inside the train??? No spoiler for you! You can easily guess what it is though, something predictable! LOL.

For the superb and breath-taking effects, you wouldn’t regret watching Super 8! Oh, the story surrounds a group of kids (13 year old or so) which makes it even more interesting.

Photobucket

If you happen to watch it in the cinema (bet you probably will!), don’t leave right after the credits. Stay on your seat for a while until you’ll see a lame and funny part XD

I’m a Pirate, Take Me To Stranger Tides!

The best 3 things about being a pirate:

1. Being able to travel the world and meet new people.

Photobucket

I would do anything possible to see the beauty and wonders of the world and be acquainted with island dwellers of all nations. At the same time of discovering treasures, I would bring along a camera to capture the beautiful attractions, for it is a wonderful life time experience which could not be bought even with all my treasures. Meanwhile, I would pick up some new tribal languages from the local tribes and learn a variety of cultures during my short stay.

2. Being to provide a “home” to orphans by recruiting them as my entourage.

Photobucket

By doing such charity act, I’m also expanding my group of pirates. One stone two birds! Now who wouldn’t agree that I am Miss Angelic Soul Pirate? Teehee.

3. Being able to hold a barbeque feast anytime.

Photobucket

All I need is an island, a bonfire and some fresh newly-caught creatures (be it from land or sea). Oh, not forgetting a bunch of party people who happened to be my entourage! Life of a pirate is supposed to be stress-free and enjoyable after all! Gotta party every night and indulge ourselves in yummy delicacies!

Now, wouldn’t you want to be a pirate? XD

Here’s a little reward for your pirate fantasy: Premiere Screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 3D by Nuffnang!

What a day!

Unlike any other mundane Monday, there are so many little things that happened today and I don’t know whether to call myself lucky or unlucky.

8.57am in the morning. Alarm clock wouldn’t ring until 18 minutes later, but on the bed I lay with my eyes wide opened, heads pounding as the noise pollution took place. Right next to my room it was the lift where the workers were hitting holes onto the wall with hammers before placing new tiles. They weren’t just making holes, but millions of holes, on every side of the walls! Holes like what you see on Swiss cheese!

Photobucket

It wasn’t even 9-fcking-am yet they were already making so much commotion! I understand that the placing of new tiles is to upgrade the place for us residents who pay for monthly rent and maintenance, but what is the point when the people you serve aren’t even allowed a peaceful morning?! They could have at least delayed the noisy construction until afternoon!

Anyway, I was so pissed off I went out and attempted to tell them off, to which they replied that 9am is their working time! -__________-” FML! Oh yea, wouldn’t blame them since these migrants are merely doing their job. It is the lousy management! Annoyed, I called my land lord and demanded that he speak to the management. Meanwhile, I was glad that class started at 10.30am so I didn’t have to put up with the blasting hammering for too long.

While I was in my tutorial class, I realized that I left my cardigan at home! No choice but to tahan the cold in the freezing classroom. I even switched off the air-con but it was still cold! FML. How to go to winter countries when I can’t even bear with the air-cond here? Jeez.

After class, I went to The Lunchbox where Sammy goes to every single day! Went to the toilet and guess what? I had my period! It was the 14th day but I had my period! Wtfreak. Thought it was supposed to be the fertilizing stage. It so happened that I was wearing my white pants today. And it so happened that there was no trash bin in The Lunchbox’s toilet (tsk tsk, useless mayor not doing his job) so I had to wait till I go back to uni before replacing the pantiliner with pad, at the same time hoping that it would not leak and stain my white pants. The one thing I was glad is that I still had sanitary pads in my bag ^.^

Did my Microsoft Access assignment in the library during which I made a few mistakes but did not know how to undo, hence had to start it all over with. Wtfreak. Suddenly all the computers shut down without warning, leaving Mei Yan and I looking bewildered as we stared at each other. So the computer system chose a time to shut down everything when I was doing an important assignment! Jeez. But to think about it, if I were doing a timed online test I would have panicked and cried on the spot.

Poked my pendrive into Sammy’s laptop to check if I had saved the file before the computer went haywire, then remembered that there is no Microsoft Access on his laptop! So much for the anticipation -_________-”

When the power returned, I happily continued my assignment which I had indeed managed to save despite the retarded computer that tried to sabotage my hard work. Then out of nowhere a black girl came close next to me and stared into my desktop screen. At first I thought she was trying to check out my assignment, but heck she isn’t even from my course! She then grabbed my mouse and started minimizing my files! I gave a puzzled look to Meiyan, then looked back at Sammy and muttered a ‘WHAT THE F*CK?’. ‘EXCUSE ME, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???’ I asked politely with a mixture of confusion and anger. She was startled. And apparently she got the wrong girl! Wtfreak. Do I look like one of her black friends or something??? Can mix up someone so easily??? Or perhaps all Asians look the same to them -.-

Went to Sunway Pyramid as usual after uni. Thought my day would eventually be better. But I encountered a frigging rude ticket seller named Charles at TGV cinema! When I said I wanted to watch Ghost Must Be Crazy, he repeated after me Ghost Must Be Krayyyyzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee with his retarded i-just-hit-puberty voice! As if that wasn’t bad enough, he nearly messed up my ticket by picking A Chinese Ghost Story! Stupid. When he pulled out the ticket, again he said Ghost Must be Krayyyyyzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Freaking rude and annoying!! Worse thing is, he didn’t bother to hand me the tickets and the change but simply pushed them to me on the table! WHAT THE F*CK??? First time I come across someone who has the balls to do that to me! HELLO I am your customer and I am paying! Who do you think you are showing me that kinda attitude?! I was really pissed I stood there and indicated him to pick up the money. He didn’t get it, but instead pushed them forward to me and said enjoy the Ghost Must Be Krayyyyyzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (for the third fcking time wtf!).

As I entered the cinema, I was feeling so frustrated and discontented. Movie was supposed to be a stress-free leisure activity, but why did I feel like I was getting more stress than ever? I couldn’t just sit down, watch the movie and pretended that nothing happened. So I took out my Blackberry and tweeted @TGVCinemas:

Photobucket

Felt so much relieved after I did that. At least I knew that somewhere, somehow, someone from their management would read about my dissatisfying experience.

The movie was great anyway. Would be funny especially if you understand Hokkien. I grew up watching Jack Neo’s TV shows. Have to admit that I always enjoy all of them XD

Anyway Sammy and I were the last people to leave the cinema cause everyone left even before the NG scenes were played. As we walked out of the cinema, there were a bunch of people waiting outside, among whom was one fella holding an A4 size paper with “Twitter Ms @copykate” printed!

Wow, these people had been waiting for me like I’m a VIP, seriously??? LOL.

Stunned for a few seconds, after which I realized what was going on. They read my tweets! Oh yeah the power of Twitter! The manager on duty enquired about my bad experience and apologized. I told him everything about that stupid Charles guy. In such case, an apology wouldn’t be sufficient so they presented me 2 movie vouchers! Hiak hiak. Now you see the influence of social media. Teehee.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After all, TGV values their customers’ feedback and of course, would always do the least to avoid any negative publicity. With the competitions from the much preferred GSC, I reckoned they wouldn’t want any comment that damages their reputation.

So far my followers have totaled up to 747, which is nearly half the number of @TGVCinemas’. I wonder if they would have done the same though if I am someone who has like only 20 followers on twitter. Something new to ponder upon :P

Anyway, follow my twitter @copykate for more live updates! Let’s hope that I won’t dream about planting a condom tree with a broken dick again tonight. HAHA.
