Located behind the Hang Tuah police station, VCR is no doubt
a hidden gem in the city. What attracted my attention was how they transformed
a house to a vintage café with sentimental value.
Dim-lit ambience downstairs with the barista counter and a
few small tables.
Upstairs is more spacious, with wooden floor and plain white
wall that preserve the old house feel.
Windows overlooking some greenery. Such a rare view in the
city.
Potato waffle. I must say that this combination goes really
well. I am also truly impressed by how VCR is generous with their ingredients.
The assorted mushroom was overflowing!
Granola. Healthy option, not exactly my kind of breakfast
but I managed to have a bite. It was delicious!
VCR serves great coffee given the knowledge and passion of
the two owners. Definitely a good place for coffee and cake, and maybe brunch
too if you could bear with the limited selection.
The sunnier side of the café. Great lighting for
photographs.
The balcony was pretty cool albeit not so cooling.
OOTD spot.
