Menya Musashi, 1 Utama

Ohai, this is yet another ramen post!

Have you heard that Ippudo Ramen is opening soon in KL??? But let’s not talk about it until its grand opening. Let us indulge in other ramen for the time being because you know once Ippudo opens, nothing can beat it!

Stumbled upon a few blog posts on Menya Musashi, some of which labeled it as the best ramen in town. Menya had my curiosity, but now it has my attention! HAHA you know where I stole that quote from.

Located at the 2nd floor of Isetan 1Utama, Menya Musashi has to compete with Santouka Hokkaido Ramen right next to it. Anyway, I realized that both ramen shops are equally welcomed among diners. Both restaurants were almost fully seated.

Menya Musashi = 武藏麵屋 = Japanese warrior which explains the warrior paintings.

Didn’t really like it that we had to place our order and pay at the counter first before being seated. I prefer to sit down, take my time and browse through the menu :(

Had some difficulty choosing my ramen as there was no description on the menu. Actually the differences are the amount of meat.

There are 3 types of soup: shiro (onion), kuro (garlic) and aka (chili).

Kuro Ajitma Chashu Men - RM32

Kuro Ajitma Ramen -  RM24 which is basically the same thing as the previous one except there is lesser meat. I stupidly chose the same broth. Should have gone for Shiro instead.

Not sure about the other 2 soup but Kuro was rather disappointing. Definitely not the kind of soup that makes you wanting for more. But according to the waitress that was the best selling soup. Meh. The spring egg was normal, not as good as the one from Marutama probably cause it wasn’t a seasoned egg? The ramen was no doubt good though. Very ‘Q’ texture.

The ramen chefs would shout and throw the ramen as if they’re fighting another warrior. The action was entertaining but not the voice as I find it rather scary and disturbing. LOL.

My huge glass of hot green tea – RM2

Anyway CNY is approaching! Have you done your CNY shopping? Check out the China street decorations at 1 Utama!

到处都红彤彤的 ^^

Anyone wearing cheongsam this year? I wore one for 大年初一 last year and ended up being called a China girl so this year I’ve known better. Pfft.

Love this picture of me because somehow my hair looks as if it’s been dip-dyed. It’s just the lighting XD

My new Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick.

No. 46 is more orangey rather than pinkish. Addicted to orange lips ever since I’ve started using Meitu. Tested like 10 lipsticks at Chanel and picked this in the end. I think I would have been cursed by the sales girl if I decided to walk out empty handed -.-

February = CNY and Valentine but it’s also the beginning of my last semester in uni! Not sure if I should be happy or sad. I’m certainly not ready to go back for class after having slacked for 3 freaking long months! T_T

[ADV] Embrace the Baby G Trend with SNSD

Greetings from Singapore! I’m here on vacation again after only 2 months. Throughout my visit here I couldn’t help but noticed the giant posters of Girls’ Generation wearing Casio Baby G! Saw quite a number of girls wearing Baby G too. Yes baby, be prepared for the beginning of a new trend!

Read this post in which I introduced my BGA-200-4E, the hot pink watch that Tiffany is wearing! Water resistant and shock resistant. It comes with neon illuminator function too! No way I can look as cute as Tiffany but still, I look great in this watch right? XD

Launched in 1994, Baby-G is Casio’s watch brand for young and trendy women which inherits the toughness of the shock-resistant Casio G-SHOCK watches. Since then, the basic shock resistance and superior waterproof performance of Baby-G has evolved with additional features and higher performance, including solar-powered systems and neon illuminators.

The multiple Baby-G designs not only taps the latest fashion trends but also allows individual expression with limited edition models available every now and then, and are available in a rich spectrum of colours making Baby-G watches a highly versatile fashion accessory.

Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun are the nine members who make up the South Korean girl pop group Girls’ Generation.

Girls’ Generation embodies the “tough, cute, cool” concept of Baby-G, Casio’s shock resistant watches for women and will represent the face of the brand in South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia.

Girls’ Generation started 2013 with a bang releasing their 4th full-length album - I Got a Boy.

This new album comes a year after the 3rd full-length album, ‘The Boys’, and all 10 songs in various genres is expected to appeal to a wider global audience.

The title song ‘I Got a Boy’ is an electronic dance song that mixes pop, retro, and urban genres. This new style of songs was created for Girls’Generation by a dream team comprised of ‘Dsign music’, a group of famous composers that composed SNSD’s hit song, 'Genie’, as well as the top composers from Europe including Will Simms and Sarah Lundback, and Korean composer Young-Jin Yoo.

‘Dancing Queen’ which displayed the popularity of Girls’ Generation by sweeping various music charts as a prerelease is a remake of Duffy’s ‘Mercy’ while ‘Talk Talk’ is the Korean version of ‘Boomerang’ which was in the 2nd full-length album released in Japan.

‘Baby Maybe’, composed by English singer-songwriter, Pixie Lott, combines lyrics written by Soo Young, Yu Ri, and Seo Hyun while ‘XYZ’ was also written by Yu Ri and Seo Hyun.

This album also contains ‘Lost in Love’, the duet by Tae Yeon and Tiffany, about breakups with the rich and moderate voice of Tae Yeon perfectly matched with Tiffany’s smooth and youthful tones.

Other tracks in the album includes ‘Promise’, the medium tempo ballad with the message from Girls’Generation to their fans, ‘Express 999’, the retro pop combining various genres, ’Look at Me’ which combines organic beat, playful melody, and easy-to-sing-along chorus, and ‘Romantic St.’, a romantic swing jazz style number.

BGA-132-7BDR which I introduced in this post. Just like the pink watch above, this white one also belongs to the cute category. Similar function including water resistant, shock resistant and neon illuminator. A young and trendy watch suitable for a casual day out! I personally find this watch easy to match with most of my outfit due to its design and colour :)
