Code Friday @ Neverland KL

As stated in one of my recent posts here, Pernod Ricard Malaysia launched its corporate social responsibility programme, ‘Be In Control. If You Drink, Don’t Drive’ on 30th September (last Friday) at Neverland KL. In case you haven’t heard of it, Neverland is a new club yet to be opened located right behind Borneo Baruk Club. A pretty cool place even from the outside!

Photobucket

Upon arrival, we were given a glass each to sign our names on.

Photobucket

Don’t play play, have to adopt responsible drinking once you sign on it! Teehee.

Photobucket

Oh well, not that I own a car. So I’m probably the most responsible drinker before I even sign on it! Placing my pretty glass on the stage together with the others’.

Photobucket

The interesting part of this event was that most of the guests were wearing the same white statement tee. Apparently Pernod Ricard hired a team of creative artists from paintlust.net to customize our names on the t-shirts!

Photobucket

Copykate is in control! XD

Photobucket

The Managing Director of Pernod Ricard, CK Tan giving a speech on the importance of responsible drinking. Code Friday would not just end on that day itself, as there will be activities every Friday over the next few months to encourage consumers to pledge to ‘Be In Control. If You Drink, Don’t Drive’.

Photobucket

Representatives from various clubs.

Photobucket

There were some really meaningful performances and short videos that highlighted the consequences of drink and drive based on true-life encounters called ‘Wish You Were Here’ :(

Photobucket

Fellow bloggers, Michelle, Isabella and Tim.

Photobucket

A variety of yummy finger food from La Bodega, most of which I can’t name. I like the juicy fruit tart especially but it’s not in the photo T.T

Photobucket

Bumped into Natlely who happened to be on her policewoman duty.

Photobucket

She locked me up in the jail for having too much to drink! Wtfreak :(

Photobucket

What I learnt from Serena Vanderwoodsen, must look glam in mug shot! LOL.

Photobucket

Submitted my pledge at www.beincontrol.org.my

Photobucket

I was No. 72 who pledged on the official website! How about you?

21st Birthday Celebration @ Glory Beach Resort

This is my super duper belated birthday party post! Done editing the photos a month ago and saved them in my pendrive, but I must had accidentally deleted them while clearing my files. No choice but to transfer everything from my camera again. After all, how can I not post up photos from my 21st birthday celebration? O.o

You can read my birthday party @ Zouk here. Since most of my hometown friends couldn’t make it to Zouk, I decided to organize a BBQ stay over party at Port Dickson!

Photobucket

My beloved Jess who made an effort to get me an unexpected birthday present and the lovely balloons despite being the busiest working lady among us. Thank you so much Jess! Looking gorgeous as always!

Photobucket

My dearest gay friend Loo who drove us to Glory Beach Resort to get things prepared. Really appreciate your help! Teehee.

Photobucket

According to Angela who is from PD, Sunshine Bay is a better place to BBQ since the pits are located next to the beach. So instead of BBQ-ing at Glory, we reserved a pit at Sunshine Bay which is around 10 minutes drive away. Rental fee is RM35 from anytime during the evening until the next morning. The only things they provide are the pit and the net though. You gotta prepare your own charcoal, skewers and food.

Photobucket

It’s us again!

Photobucket

Pei Wing and Yun Zhi.

Photobucket

Group photo with the guys. Seriously, why was everyone wearing black? My dress code was supposed to be beach wear! But football jersey??? Super violated -.-

Photobucket

Jess’s skinny sexy back! Don’t remember what she was doing to Hing Yee. Poor boy looked a little reluctant.

Photobucket

It was quite a nice place to BBQ except there was nowhere except the stones and the beach where we could sit. Be prepared to embrace the nature if you were to go there.

Went back to the resort for the after-party. Washed ourselves off the barbeque smoke and stains, then it was time for card games and booze!

Photobucket

Poker, just like every CNY.

Photobucket

Someone brought his porno cards from China! First time I’ve seen interesting poker cards like this. Oops, I hope none of my readers is below 18??!

Photobucket

A birthday card from Jess that came along with a Coach bracelet! Felt so pampered omgosh! Super adore her gift!

Photobucket

Group photo of the night minus Loo whom I believe was the photographer. Either that or he was too pissed drunk as usual. HAHA.

Photobucket

Thank you everyone who was present that night. So happy to have all of you celebrating my 21st together. And of course, for the rest of my friends, thanks for all the birthday gifts! I had a great time unwrapping them and I must say that they made me an even happier birthday girl. It’s good to be 21, finally.

And now that it’s October, a big birthday shout out to Loo (2nd Oct), Katie (3rd Oct), Jess (5th Oct) and Mei Yan (10th Oct)! I love you guys even though you made me broke this month! Watch out for your birthday posts soon! xoxo

Pernod Ricard - Code Friday 30th September 2011

Hello people! It’s Friday and we have something interesting coming up tonight! It's the global Responsible Drinking campaign launched by Pernod Ricard Malaysia (PRM).

Photobucket

The global Pernod Ricard stance is to promote responsible drinking on 5 fronts: -
* Advocating Moderation
* Avoiding Drink-Driving
* Making Young-People aware of the risks linked to alcohol
* Dissuading Pregnant women from drinking
* Making Staff aware of their responsibility

Still wondering what Code Friday is all about? We shall discover it tonight!

Meanwhile, I’ll update on how you can make a pledge in support of ‘Be in Control. If You Drink Don’t Drive’.

My First Trip to Kota Kinabalu

My first time to Kota Kinabalu was indeed an unexpected last minute trip!

Last Thursday, I received a call from my agent proposing a “crazy request”. At first I thought it probably involved me having to parade on the street with my bikini or something, but apparently he wanted to fly me to KK for Hennessy Artistry in two days time!

Flight tickets and accommodation provided for! I managed to nego for a reasonable payment up to my expectation, so I accepted the offer despite my already-hectic schedule!

My last minute return flight cost them approximately RM600! With that amount, I can already fly back and forth to Hong Kong! Flew there on Saturday morning and came back on Sunday afternoon. The trip was indeed short, but a fun and worthwhile experience! It wasn’t easy having to wake up early after working for Arthur’s Day on the previous night. Besides, I had to prepare for my presentation on Monday morning once I got back! I was so stressed I thought I was gonna collapse.

Thanks to Hayden aka Shin Chan from KK, we managed to squeeze in time in between our work to explore KK town. Without his help, we would have spent so much on taxi fares! Taxis there are ruthless and they never go by meter! RM10 minimum for every ride -.-

Photobucket

KK Times Square Hotel was located at the same building as White Room where Hennessy Artistry was held. In fact we could see the entrance to the event from our window! LOL.

Photobucket

Our spacious cozy room was initially meant for the boss who didn’t turn up XD

Photobucket

Guess where we had our first meal?

Photobucket

The well-known sang yok mee!

Photobucket

Yummy pork!

Photobucket

Chicken feet with shitake mushroom.

Photobucket

Laici khang.

Photobucket

Their smallest portion was about twice the size of our usual portion! Could hardly finish half of the noodles.

Photobucket

Caely and Yin Ling.

Photobucket

Dropped by Yoyo Café to get some RM3.80 bubble tea. Yoyo Café in KK is equivalent to Chatime here. Their most popular bubble tea shop!

Photobucket

They sell some really nice pastry too. The freshly-baked croissants with the aroma of butter were so tempting!

Photobucket

Back to the hotel to get ready for work.

Photobucket

We can haz blue and pink eyes. Wtfreak.

Photobucket

Savouring some mini croissants while waiting for time to pass.

Photobucket

The next morning, Hayden brought us to Gaya Street Sunday Market!

Photobucket

It was a hang out spots for both locals and tourists.

Photobucket

Dropped by Tong Hing Supermarket to get the local fresh milk.

Photobucket

Desa milk. Can only be found there I guess.

Photobucket

Caely finished almost the whole 1 litre of milk and claimed to be feeling so milky she wanted to puke XD

Photobucket

Sabah Tourism Board meant for tourists like us? Ngek ngek.

Photobucket

The weather at KK was so much hotter I swear! Could easily become a sexy tanned if I were to stay there any longer. Jeez.

Photobucket

Our young hensem tour guide. Teehee.

Photobucket

I love KK!

Photobucket

Some really cute hand-made keychains.

Photobucket

Jewelry which aren’t exactly my style.

Photobucket

It was fun shopping around the market although it isn’t as good as Chatuchak. As usual, most of the stalls are selling similar stuff.

Photobucket

There were even a few pet stalls! Adorable puppies including Golden Retriever and German Shepherd!!!

Photobucket

Yummy soya.

Photobucket

After leaving the market, we came to this Caprilla ice-cream truck and joined the queue. Hayden’s favourite ice-cream in town!

Photobucket

Was amused by his envelope-liked wallet.

Photobucket

Apparently it is the might wallet from US. It won’t tear no matter how hard you try. Awesome!

Photobucket

Stumbled upon Share Tea from Taiwan which hired Eric Tsang as their ambassador??? LOL!

Photobucket

Heard there’s one at Times Square. Still prefer Gong Cha though.

Photobucket

Our return flight was at 3pm so had to rush to the airport after a quick dim sum lunch.

Photobucket

Salted steamed bun with yellow liquid leaking XD

Photobucket

That sums up my short KK trip! It was quite a small peaceful town similar to Kuching. I would definitely visit again to check out the mountain and islands! Not for work the next time, I hope! :)
