[ADV] Samsung Galaxy Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition Launch

Okay maybe it won’t cause much impact considering my background is already super pink in the first place. Teehee.

Attended Samsung Galaxy Y Hello Kitty Limited Edition launch at GSC Pavilion last Saturday! In conjunction with the launch, Samsung organized a Super Sweet BFF Party and even gave movie passes to Rise of the Guardians to media and invited guests.

Greeted at the front entrance by pink balloons that formed the shape of Hello Kitty’s head.

Brought Jess to the party as my BFF! Who else deserves the BFF title other than Jess after all? (okay the one who isn’t in Malaysia doesn’t count XD)

Squealed like a girly girl when I saw this really pink cupcake counter!

And omgosh pink heart-shaped marshmallows!!!

What was I doing on the stage? Oh yes I was one of the 10 girls who got nominated for the best dressed! (I know I looked damn lansi on the stage don’t mention it) Jess and I were so close to winning the phones. If only I were more bold to have drawn whiskers on my face (=O.O=)

Cheap Johor Budget Hotels @ iBilik

Last week, the Sultan of Johor celebrated his birthday in Muar and upgraded the town to Bandar Diraja. Whatever that means. Muar, of all the cities in Johor! Weeks before his arrival, the roundabout was reconstructed, the roads repaired, new bonsai planted etc.

There was a parade on one of the nights. Sis and I went out and kepoh. After all, when else would you get the opportunity to stand in the middle of the road at central town and camho? XD

Due to the celebration, feasts and parade, the hotels in Muar were fully booked! While searching for some budget hotels for the guests from other cities, I found a few budget hotels in Johor under iBilik’s short-term rentals category.

iBilik is a Malaysian accommodation website that allows you to search for rooms for rent. Super convenient for students who are looking for new rooms to stay near their campus. Of course, it also posts up short-term rental notices for travellers. Simply pick a category from budget hotel, resort hotel, shared apartment etc and browse through the rooms that are available!

The budget hotels in Johor could go as low as RM40 for 2 pax!!! Unbelievably cheap! LOL.

Photos of the hotels are available so you can get an overall look of the place before deciding whether to stay.

On the other hand, iBilik also provides a thorough description of the budget hotels such as the facilities and services, the landmarks nearby, booking information, check-in and check-out time. Most of the rooms come with free wifi!

Durex Contest Videoshoot + Project Listen

On the second night of my recent Singapore trip, Jess and I didn’t have any plan in particular so the boys suggested that we be part of the cast for Hong Hu’s video project. He’s a Art, Design and Media student at NTU who directs video shoot all the time. This time, he and his team were doing a video for a contest organized by Durex that aims to promote safe sex! LOL. Thought it would be fun so Jess and I agreed to do it.

They cast me as the main female character who had to endure plenty of make out scenes with the main male character! Not real make out of course, that would be a huge advantage to the guy. LOL. I was totally fine considering it was Aldrich, our host during the trip and not some random stranger. The only problem was they had to switch off the air-con during the whole session to avoid any noise recorded. Can you imagine 7-8 people cramped in a small room without air-con?! The whole shooting went on for 5 hours after which we were all exhausted and not to mention sweating like pigs.

The shooting took place at their ex-teacher’s residence at Domus, a uber lovely condominium! Apparently one unit here costs SGD1.7mil! And it’s not even that huge you know, just a small 2-bedroom condo around max 700sq ft? Judging from the teacher’s place.

Their teacher looks young by the way. Mid 30s I guess. Tall and built too. No picture of him, too bad! It was so kind of him to have lend us his place. Even bought us bubble tea and paid for our pizza! Why none of my teachers are like that ah???

Tried Koi bubble tea for the first time. It tastes ordinary. Totally don’t get how people would queue so long for it. Perhaps it’s like the Chatime hype when it first started in Malaysia?

The video will be released in a few days. They managed to get into the Top 10 and from then on the winner will be determined by votes!!! Haven’t got the chance to watch it myself. Hope I don’t look too awkward on the bed wtf. Will post it here once I get the link, provided I don’t look bad in the video. Teehee. Nolah actually I still have to post it if I look ugly cause we need your votes!
