Welcome Back Katie!

My dearest soul mate Katie was finally back from Melbourne for summer holiday! Haven’t been able to spend much time with her the last time she came back since she couldn’t stay long. This time I’ll make sure we have plenty of days to hang out together and share our daily gossips!

Bought her a pink card to welcome her arrival.

Photobucket

Shooo cute. Teehee.

Photobucket

Sweet little gifts from Melbourne, UK and Amsterdam. LOL-ed at that superman underwear XD

Photobucket

Spent the whole afternoon with my two besties, Katie and Jess at Pyramid before sending Katie to meet her parents since she was leaving to UK for a one-week vacation on the next day.

Photobucket

It’s been a while, my loves. xoxo

Photobucket

Lunch at Dragon-i.

Photobucket

Look what I found at Asian Avenue! Polka dots FTW.

Photobucket

My magical sea horse tattoo. If you’re wondering whether it’s real permanent tattoo, nah, it’s just an air-brush tattoo that can last up to a week. For this size, it costs only RM 5! Awesomely cheap!

Photobucket

Headed to Klang for dinner with Katie’s family. Did some shopping and desserts but didn’t have enough time for manicure *sad* next time perhaps!

Photobucket

By the way if you have followed me on Twitter or FB, you would have read that I’m going to South Korea this January! Katie and I just booked our flight yesterday. 2-way return flight for only RM900 after tax, insurance, baggage and food! Omgosh I’ so excited for the trip already! It’ll be freezing cold on January but anyhow, trip to Korea with my bff, it’s gonna be seoul fun!!! Now all I need to do is work harder to pay for expenses in Korea and refrain myself from spending off my money on shopping before the trip! Teehee.

Papermate InkJoy

So recently, I was given a whole load of pens by Papermate for a review. I know some of you who are working don’t even touch pens anymore except perhaps those shopping times when you sign your credit card bill. But I as a university student still stick to the traditional way of paper and pen. In fact, ever since young I’ve always thought of writing as a fun activity (probably a habit acquired through copying homework wtf). So even when I’m home alone and bored, I would occasionally find a pen and scribble some nonsense on any empty paper.

Photobucket

The new range of pens by Papermate is named “InkJoy” which easily summarize my joy in writing (it’s true, I’m not bullshitting).

Photobucket

Let’s start with the most economically-priced range, shall we?

New Papermate Inkjoy - 100

InkJoy 100.
* 2 sizes - 0.5 or 0.7
* 3 colours - Black Blue Red
* CAP pens

InkJoy 100RT - CAP

I don’t recall having owned any capped pens ever since the beginning of time. Always find it troublesome to remove the cap and put it back after using. InkJoy 100 does not come with rubberised grip but it’s triangularly shaped for ease of grip.

Photobucket

The ink was just nice and not too light for my likings. I personally prefer 0.7 over 0.5 though as it is much smoother and it enables me to write faster. Anyway, these pens cost RM1.00 each only even if you don’t buy in bulk! XD

New Papermate Inkjoy-100RT

InkJoy 100RT.
* 2 sizes - 0.5 or 0.7
* 3 colours - Black Blue Red
* CLICK pens

InkJoy 100RT-1

Basically there isn’t much difference from the previous range apart from the appearance. 20 cents more costly, perhaps to save you the inconvenience of removing the caps? Like I said, the ink of 0.7 is smoother compared to 0.5. Convenient and cheap, this is definitely my kind of pen for college work!

Photobucket

To prevent the ink from drying out prior to use, each new pen is covered at the nib.

InkJoy 300RT CLICKPEN

NewPapermateInkjoy- 300RT

InkJoy 300RT

* 3 sizes - 0.5 or 0.7 -- Black Blue
* 1.0 - Black Blue Red + Purple + Pink + Turquoise

* CLICK pens

* Metal clip

Appearance wise is definitely classier than InkJoy100 and InkJoy 100RT! Beautiful pens with rubberised grip and metal clip (with heart shapes engraved! ♡♡)

Photobucket

The unconventional colours of purple, pink and turquoise are definitely useful for making additional notes. I would definitely use the colourful ones for mind-maps or side notes, meanwhile the blue and black for writing articles and essays.

Photobucket

InkJoy 700RT

* 1.0 – Black and Blue

* CLICK pens

* Metal clip

The most “atas” pen of all Papermate InkJoy range! It’s amazing how it could look so professional, elegant and chic at the same time. The pen comes in a slim shape with rubber grip. Heart shapes engraved on the metal grip. Feel so happy even by looking at it! No wonder it’s called InkJoy! LOL.

Both pens come in black body but the top of the pen would reveal the colour of the ink.

InkJoy 700RT

Of course, for the price of RM3.90 each, we would expect an extraordinary smooth and pleasant writing experience :)

Photobucket

InkJoy 700RT is a must have for the sake of collection. Gotta own one of them beautiful pens to show off a little even if I don’t intend to use it that often.

Le me making notes with Papermate Inkjoy.

Photobucket

Le me and my classmate revising for finals with Papermate Inkjoy.

Photobucket

Me gusta!

Photobucket

HAHAHAHA oops too much 9gag.

Thanks to Papermate, I will have enough pens to last for the next few semesters! Ditching my current pens for InkJoy. There’s gonna be a whole lot of joyful writing experience! Teehee.

111111 so it was

Yesterday was 111111, today is 121111 and 131111 comes afterwards~ *sing Rebecca Black’s tune wtfreak* lame I know!

So it was a significant day everyone was talking about. My twitter timeline was flooded with plenty of 111111 tweets, some sending good wishes and some complaining about the day being overrated without realizing they were one of those who contributed to the trending of the topic XD

All I know is, there were many marriages held on this special day. However, some claimed that 11th of November is a day when single people gather and celebrate? It sure makes sense that 111111 are for the singles, but I thought 11.11.11 comes in pairs. Then someone argued that it’s 1+1 instead of 1+0 HAHAHAHAHA he is so right omgosh if you actually get it!

So just now I was looking through my photo albums searching for photos to post up. But heck, it seems like these days I am taking less and less photos, not even vain camwhore photos of myself! All I found was old photos from my camera which are yet to be uploaded. And some that was already uploaded into the ex-boyfriend’s laptop but accidentally deleted by me while clearing the files after the dramatic break up. FML :(

Oh yea, in case you don’t know, I’ve been happily living my single life for a while. It’s pretty sad things had to end this way but I’m really glad it ended for good. No point dragging it on only to end up getting hurt even more. It wasn’t a happy ending but I no longer hold any bitter grudge. Not gonna do the story telling here since it wasn’t something so proud to begin with. For now I will just look ahead of life and be hopeful, because I know I am one step closer to finding my perfect guy *dreams* :)

Talk about guys, there is one who is really getting on my nerves right now! Ugh not sure if I should even mention it here in case he reads my blog. But I assume not! (whatever, if you read this just shut up, go face the wall and reflect on your own behaviour 面壁思过 wtf ). How would I know you were actually going after me when all you did was sending me flirty texts and all??? For all I know, flirty guys like you don’t take me seriously so I wouldn’t even consider it. Then you get all upset and say I am being judgmental, proceeded to claim that all girls are the same, judge you before they even know you blabla. Hellooooooo, that is the impression you give us! Then you expect I would regret it and apologize a few days later like “the girls” as you claimed? Well too bad, I’m not one of the girls! And all the self-pitying for not getting a girlfriend because you haven’t been dating for a while and you forgot how to woo a girl! LOL! Please, you might wanna consider a new approach instead of being all flirty and risked getting portrayed as a player! Pfft.

Well then, I just ranted one paragraph about you upset lonely boy. If it weren’t the self-pitying (and ironically, the over-confidence at the same time), I might actually think you were cute. Not that you’re worth being mentioned here but you know, just to express how stupid some guys really are. No offence to all the other guys out there! XD

Okay picture time! Taken back then in June =x

Photobucket

Those lens are from I-fairy series. Idk why they look hazel here, but they’re actually pink!

Photobucket

So I love snapping photos of myself. In my room. Problem?

Photobucket

Nahhhh you wouldn’t expect me to do a troll face, would you? Teehee.

Sitting for my last final paper next Wednesday, after which I will be free till February next year! Wheeeeeeeeeeee! Till then, I will take plenty of photos and blog! xoxo

Umami Steamboat Buffet

Although I’ve been staying at Sunway for quite a while, this was my first time trying out Umami Steamboat. Located at a strategic corner of Dataran Mentari, Umami Steamboat is a buffet steamboat restaurant that serves you a variety of food under a clean and comfortable environment.

Umami Steamboat

Fellow bloggers and I arrived at 7.30pm to the restaurant which was already filled with diners. Instead of using traditional stove, Umami adopts the new technology and takes cooking into a higher level.

Photobucket

We were served with 4 types of soup: Tomyam (my all-time favourite), Herbal, Pepper and Fish head soup. I would highly recommend tomyam to trigger your taste buds and herbal to soothe your throat when it gets a little too spicy.

Photobucket

Self-service as usual. You can get as much as you want provided if you can finish them la XD

Photobucket

Freshly prepared seafood.

Photobucket

Crabs, Clams, mussels, snails, scallops and whatever shellfish you name it, all of them were available at Umami. High five if you’re a seafood person like me!

Photobucket

Best abalone I have ever tasted (seriously, who cares whether it’s genuine). So sweet and juicy! Kind wish I had eaten more of it T_T

Photobucket

Chicken skewers barbequed with honey. The taste was absolutely different from your usual satay.

Photobucket

Smoked and fried chicken wings were finger-licking good!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Of course, I wouldn’t forget my favourite of all - sliced lamb! For this, you gotta master the art of cooking to make sure it isn’t overcooked. I like it medium to preserve the tenderness *yums*

Photobucket

Dessert is a must-have after every meal. Although I was really full, I didn’t want to miss out the wide variety of ice-cream being served! Took 6 scoops in total to try out the different flavours! LOL.

Photobucket

Photobucket

It was indeed a pleasurable dining experience at Umami Steamboat. You would be fed all the way to the top of your throat with worthwhile ingredients only for the price of RM26.80+! What’s more, there’s an ongoing promotion of “Buy 2 Free 1” which makes it even cheaper!

Caroline and I. Some photos are credited to her and Eric.

Photobucket

Don’t forget to call me up whenever you’re visiting Umami. You know I’m staying nearby.

One last photo (of me obviously!). I just have to show you my turquoise polka-dot blouse. Pretty anot! That wasn’t even a question. Teehee.

Y U NO TELL ME???

U NO TELL ME BUT I NOES.

Meme, really??? Fitting more than 140 words here just so it won't resemble another twitter post T______T

The feeling when you know someone is being bothered by something yet he refused to tell but you know exactly what is bothering him yet you don't wanna ask so you do this.

HAHA #justsaying

No time to think about it. For now I gotta prepare my finals so, F*ck Yeah!

Hennessy Artistry Halo is back at MIECC!

Hennessy Artistry Halo party of 2011 is back! The biggest “Global Art of Mixing” this year will be held at MIECC on November 12!

Photobucket

With Australian mega electronic duo, Yolanda Be Cool, American singer, songwriter and producer, Chris Willis, and local superstar DJs, Goldfish and Blink already penned in for what could arguably be the biggest party of 2011, the upcoming Hennessy Artistry “The Global Art of Mixing” will also be featuring Taiwanese songstress, Landy Wen and Korean superstar, Park Jung Min (of Korean boy band SS501 fame) that is sure to bring to life Hennessy Artistry’s innovative approach of blending together different musical genres from the East and West.

I am especially looking forward to Landy Wen's performance!

Photobucket

Taiwanese female R&B vocalist, Landy Wen is a member of the Atayal ethnic group and one of the few Taiwanese aborigines to become a musical star. Apart from singing, Landy has also acted in the Chinese drama, precious. Her foray into the silver screen will also see her play a role in the highly acclaimed Taiwanese action saga, Warriors of the Rainbow due to be released later this year.

Its famed interactive platform, the Hennessy Mixing Zone will also be taken up a notch and will feature among others, four fun, engaging and experiential zones:

  1. Hennessy Mixing Bar – a bar where fans will be taught how to mix any of the four signature Hennessy V.S.O.P long drinks (Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger, Hennessy Apple, and Hennessy Soda)
  1. Hennessy Music Mix Synth — where revellers will be given the chance to create their own tunes by selectively choosing to place 15 circular cubes on a react table (each cube represents a different music element, i.e: guitar, drums, etc) to allow them to experience the true meaning of “The Global Art of Mixing” through the blending of their very own tunes.
  1. Hennessy iMix Challenge – an area where party-goers can try their hands at Hennessy’s newly developed iPad game which requires guests to slice up ingredients which are found in Hennessy V.S.O.P’s signature long drinks. The top 5 high scores screened on an LCD leaderboard will each take home a bottle of limited edition Hennessy V.S.O.P Helios.
  2. Hennessy Interactive Photowall – a green screen photography area where revellers can enhance their photos digitally by choosing and inserting different visual backgrounds and shout out phrases.

In spite of the fact that the party is held a few days before my final exam, I shall not miss out the fun!

Here are some photos taken during the previous Hennessy Artistry.

The latest Hennessy Artistry held at the White Room at Kota Kinabalu during which they flew me there for the job.

Photobucket

Hennessy Artistry at Mist Club.

Photobucket

It made me depressed seeing all my friends partying while I was stuck at one corner teaching the guests how to mix Hennessy long drinks. The only time I get to take photos like this was during my break or after work ended :(

Photobucket

So this time, I’ve decided to strip down that Hennessy uniform and party like crazy to make it up for those past few times that I’ve missed out! XD

You won’t see me in group photos like this for the coming Hennessy Artistry. So don't ask me for any Hennessy Apple as I'll be downing them all by myself! Teehee.

Photobucket

Passes to the biggest H-Artistry ‘The Global Art of Mixing’ party of 2011 are by-invitation only. To stand a chance to be invited to these upcoming exclusive event, visit Hennessy Artistry’s Official Facebook page at www.h-artistry.com.my/facebook to register. Registrations will be open till November 4.

Can’t wait for Hennessy Artistry Halo 2011! It’s gonna be big!!! See you there! XD
