Movie Review: Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

Courtesy of Chevrolet, I was one of the first who managed to watch Transformers 3 in Malaysia. There was a contest on twitter by @Chevrolet_MY whereby the winners would get a pair of premiere ticket to catch the blockbuster movie at GSC Mid Valley 2 days ago.

Photobucket

Chevrolet was so generous they gave goodie bags to all winners and guests! XD

Photobucket

Our screening was in 3D. To be honest, I really dislike 3D movies. Throughout the two and a half hours, the 3D glasses kept slipping off my nose so I had to keep holding it with my hand! Wtfreak. I guess my nose is way too small and narrow to support the glasses :(

Okay leaving that aside, I wouldn’t recommend you to watch Transformers 3 in 3D, even though I know many of you had already bought the tickets a week beforehand. Nowadays almost every movie is so-called 3D, but how many of them are actually as good as 3D Avatar? Almost none, except a few animated movies. Transformers 3 doesn’t have that much 3D effect. If it weren’t the glasses that bothered me, I would have forgotten that we were watching it in 3D!

I think the movie was good, but not exactly mind-blowing. I guess after the previous Transformers, we all are used to all the machine transformation, fighting and stuff. Nothing new in terms of special effect. However, in this latest movie you get to see more Autobots and Decepticons as all of them gathered on earth and fought each other.

Photobucket

What about the new girl who replaced Megan Fox in Transformers 3? I think she’s equally hot and I wouldn’t mind seeing her instead of Megan Fox! LOL. Her lips are so sexy I swear I stared at it whenever I could! Her presumably English accent sounds rather exotic to me.

Photobucket

Anyhow, go watch it if you haven’t! I heard that the tickets have been sold out for the first week though. What’s left are the lousy front row seats. Hiak hiak.

Once again, thank you @Chevrolet_MY for the invitation and not forgetting the free coke + popcorn! Guys, start following them Twitter today! And @copykate if you haven’t! Tsk tsk.

Rating: 3.5/5 (already plus-ed 0.5 for the sexy female lead! Teehee)

Golden Palm Tree Resort, Sepang Gold Coast

Hello peeps! How are you? I’m having semester break for 3 weeks until mid July! My first weekend was well-spent at Golden Palm Tree Resort, Sepang Gold Coast for Carlsberg’s “Where’s the Party?

The mystery party venue was finally revealed after much anticipation! However, this time I didn’t go for party but for work. Teehee. There were around 200 boys and girls altogether hired for the event! 1000 over invited guests if I’m not mistaken.

Departed by bus on Friday noon.

Photobucket

First time working with Sammy!

Photobucket

Because they hire only vain people! Neh just saying XD

Photobucket

We weren’t told the exact location even when we were on the way. Passed by some deserted kampong roads during which we suspected that we had been kidnapped by organs selling organization who is gonna cut off our liver and kidney. Wtfreak. Sammy said thank god he brought along a knife and we were already planning our escape! LOL!

Photobucket

Our so-called “organs selling organization” turned out to be Carlsberg that organized the kick ass party at the beach! It was our first time visiting Sepang Gold Coast, and despite the polluted beach, we were very much in love with the getaway resort!

Photobucket

We were given so much free time to chill around the resort, it felt more like vacation than work!

Photobucket

Some girls that I met in the grand ballroom. Oh right, did I mention that we all slept in the grand ballroom with inflated air beds and sleeping bags? Thank goodness there was air-cond!

Photobucket

Beautiful evening sky, isn’t it?

Photobucket

Didn’t manage to snap that many photos throughout those 3 days. There were quite many awesome photos tagged on Facebook by Andy Kho, Tim Chew and some other familiar faces I met during the event. Will definitely post them up soon! Anyway check out the infinity pool.

Photobucket

Pictures of me before the free flow party! Hiak hiak.

Movie Review: Super 8

I don’t usually post up movie review but tonight, I went for the premiere screening of such an awesome movie, it made me feel obligated to share with all of you! Courtesy of Nuffnang, I was one of the lucky bloggers who got the opportunity to watch Super 8 by Steven Spielberg on the big screen a day before its showing.

Photobucket

Here’s the trailer of Super 8, in case you haven’t watched it.

Now, doesn’t it leave us ponder what could be inside the train? Indeed, we went for the movie with overwhelming anticipation and excitement! The suspense was so intense I grabbed my hands hard throughout the beginning of the movie! Super 8 kept us in the dark (literally and not literally) for quite a while until it finally revealed the creature.

So what the heck was inside the train??? No spoiler for you! You can easily guess what it is though, something predictable! LOL.

For the superb and breath-taking effects, you wouldn’t regret watching Super 8! Oh, the story surrounds a group of kids (13 year old or so) which makes it even more interesting.

Photobucket

If you happen to watch it in the cinema (bet you probably will!), don’t leave right after the credits. Stay on your seat for a while until you’ll see a lame and funny part XD

I heard that hese pricing are only available during PC Fair. But if you’re a student of Sunway University, you can definitely save the trouble of having to travel all the way to KL Convention Centre! For once I feel privilege being a student of Sunway University! Well, apart from the time when I got 10% discount in Forever 21 by showing my Sunway student ID! Teehee.

I didn't know that HP Ink Advantage models allow us to print 600 pages for RM27 because the ink cartridge is only RM27! If I were to print 600 pages of lecture notes in the computer lab, they would have cost me RM60 which is more than twice the price! Wtfreak. Gotta get this model to save me more money for shopping! T.T

Photobucket

Anyway, check out their booth while you're in uni within the next 3 days! Don’t forget to bring along your faulty printer yo! And come say hi if you spot me in the cafeteria! XD

First Golfing Experience

Thanks to Eugene, I had my first golfing experience at South Quay driving range. Never in my life had I tried holding a golf club before, except those plastic ones I played with when I was a kid. But heck, maybe those were meant for hockey but not golf! Can’t tell the difference. Wtfreak.

Photobucket

100 balls for RM10. Never knew it was that affordable! Someone should really clean the mirror T.T

Photobucket

From left: Jeff, Eugene and Sam. Jeff the talented sifu taught me all the basic techniques I should know about golf!

Photobucket

That’s me staring hesitantly at the ball trying to estimate the probability that I might embarrass myself in public. HAHA.

Photobucket

For a first-timer, I must be pretty good since I hardly miss any shot. I know I know, I’m a fast learner even though I suck in sports ever since forever. Hiak hiak *blush*

Photobucket

The kind of satisfaction when you hit the ball hard and watch it fly hundred meters away! It keeps you going, hitting more and more! XD

Photobucket

By the end of the game, there was a huge blister on my thumb! Golf hurts your hand nearly as much as baseball does I swear!

Photobucket

The next day, it wasn’t just my hand, but the muscles of my entire body felt the pain! Oh well, that’s a golfing experience for a girl who never exercises in her life! Still, it was really fun and I can’t wait to visit the driving range again! Teehee.
