53rd Quiet Merdeka

Happy merdeka everyone! It’s a public holiday, and our 53rd independent day is a good excuse to celebrate. I guess everyone in the city must be out of the house doing what they do best on a day as such-shopping, movie, feasting, karaoke-ing etc. I, on the other hand chose to stay home in attempt to complete my assignment. The past few days have been so fully-scheduled with parties and outings. Now that it’s Tuesday, I have exactly 3days left to finish a 1000 words essay on my management topic, considering my weekends will be occupied by a new job offer. 3 days! How to write a 1000 words close-to-perfection essay in 3 days time?! Scored a 93 out of 100 for the summaries and essay plan which came as a surprise for me, but now that I’m expected to write the actual essay, it just isn’t that easy. After all I can’t use any short cut to complete an essay, for it requires a thorough understanding of the topic and a good academic writing skill with a tad bit of imaginative approach, something which I’m quite lack of. I’ve never been confident in essay writing ever since my school days =/

And look, here I am blogging instead of doing my essay. Tried to start off my introductory paragraph moments ago, but I just didn’t know where to begin. The Harvard referencing system is indeed a pain in the ass! So many formats that I’m unsure of at the moment, but I don’t wanna get penalized for error in referencing. And definitely not for language! If there’s one thing I fail to score, it should be the evidence of reading since I don’t read that many articles and I don’t do in-depth research, I admit. Oh, I tried reading MOB text book in order to do my tutorial question, but gave up after the third page. Too much to absorb, too lazy to read on. Teehee. Siblings asked whether I was reading a text book or a magazine, cause it looks more like a magazine what with those colourful pages and pictorial illustrations XD

As much as I like complaining on how much headache my study is giving me, I’m secretly feeling the joy of being a First Year undergraduate. Uni assignments keep my time occupied and prevent me from generating destructive thoughts. When I’m bored and alone, I tend to think a lot. One thought leads to another, and at the end of the day my mind would be filled with crazy ideas that make me burst with tears. Such is the inner insanity of an ostensibly sane average teenage girl. This semester isn’t that difficult though, since 2 out of 4 subjects are exactly what I’ve learnt during my A-Level’s. 2 and a half actually, since management is quite similar to Business Studies (completed most of the syllabus before I dropped the subject in A2). My only concern is Business Law which I think requires lots of effort to attain a HD.

Okay I bet all these talks abut studies is boring you to the max. I shall post up my birthday photos soon! Nowadays Facebook has prioritized over my blog.

Xoxo signing off with 3 photos. Wtfreak.

Bunny tooth turning more obvious each day. Sigh.

Green Day

Nowadays, I don’t share much of my thoughts on my blog anymore. As much as I enjoy sharing, I don’t feel that comfortable revealing details of my private life. Each time before I pen down a sentence, I would ask myself, who will be reading this afterwards? How will they interpret it? Will it bring forth any unwanted impact later on? At the same time, it gives me second thought thinking that my dad is sitting in front of his laptop scrolling down my Beyond Chic. with a cup of coffee in his hand. That’s what he does during his free time-stalking my blog while reading the latest political issues on Malaysiakini or perhaps, checking his Bursa Malaysia. Looks like now I’m revealing my dad’s personal life instead huh? LOL.

With the existence of Twitter, all I have in mind is often shortened into a mere 140 words. There isn’t anything much for me to blog anymore, considering I’ve posted everything on Plurk, which sends my update to Twitter, which then sends it to my Facebook. These social networks is meant to be, and has become a place for me to release my inner thoughts. No doubt such application is fun, but it had caused me some unwanted trouble (prevents self from further elaboration). I read a magazine today, and it tells of a true life story about a guy breaking up with his girlfriend because she posted his sleeping habit (jokingly, I assume) on her Facebook. Breaking up with your girl because of a little something she wrote on Facebook? It’s absurd! 2 possibilities: either he wanted to break it off long before and merely using FB as an excuse, or he has an ego the size of the universe. So my point is. . . my point is. . . as I was saying. . . sheesh I forgot! See, I got distracted by the stupid egoistic man. Wtfreak.

Forget about the last paragraph. I think you get what I was trying to say. Nevertheless, I will continue dwelling in Plurkworld, Twittersphere and FB-land LOL. You know, sometimes when I encounter some assholes in life, I would have this urge to post up everything about them here. But then again, bitching about assholes, what would that make me? I decided to let it go and only tell good things about people. After all I’m in no position to judge how one should behave. I have all the rights to sing praises to every wonderful thing they do though. Days used to be so mundane, not until when I start to appreciate every single detail in life. Joy started pouring in and swept away the unhappiness when I give thanks to everything I have.

I Look Awesome With Giant Flower

Last Saturday, my 20th birthday celebration was held at El Cerdo with the usual Muar gang. It took me quite some effort to doll up for the dinner before someone commented that I was ugly at the end of the night. To him, putting a big flower on my head is considered highly inappropriate or rather, ridiculous. Let’s just assume that we both have different kinda fashion sense (mine being the better one of course. teehee), but who would go straight to a birthday girl and tell her that the way she dressed up for her celebration is ugly? =(

I then got pissed off and posted some foul words indirectly directed to him on my facebook status. FHL!

He then got annoyed by my action and called me an uneducated foul-mouth person. FML!

We then lost contact ever since. FOL!

Despite the nasty comment, I still think I look awesome with or without the giant flower. So I’m gonna show you a series of self-taken shots (with my flower, of course) until someone gives me “The Best Camho” award. Scroll down, as long as you don’t get tired of my face and puke. Teehee.

#1 The band on my head isn't a hair band but my braided hair. Learnt that from sis and experimented it for the first time.

Like finally. ROFL. See, I don't take like 20 photos that look all the same cause that's just boring and dumb. Now I've proven to you that I can take 20 self-shot, each with it's own unique pose and appearance XD

Many more to come, I promise. Hiak hiak. The fluorescent light in my new room is so awesome it makes me wanna camho everyday. Plus I’m so into headbands these days, and I’m starting to learn how to do my own hair. It’s really hard without my sis around, for she’s always been my hairdresser. Hopefully I can design a great hairdo for the upcoming VU night. Too kiam siap to set my hair in the saloon XD

Birthday pics are up in Facebook! Love all the awesome photos credited to Zhi Ang our photographer. Hate the close-up photos taken in Genting though, cause everyone looks fat. Wtfreak. I didn’t think I’m that chubby, really. Came back home today and mum said I got fatter though. Grrrrr. Have to stop noming so much Kinder Bueno from now onwards!

Officially 20

Photobucket

Happy birthday to me!

Right now, I feel like a blessed 20-year-old child.

Thank you my ex-college A-Level’s classmates for celebrating with me at Craft Brew on Friday night. We’ll always remain “bitches and beasts” though college life is long over!

Thank you my hometown friends for attending my birthday dinner at El Cerdo on Saturday night. You guys are a bunch of great friends who have always been there all these years!

Thank you my current uni classmates who really surprised me today at Fullhouse after class. You were so thoughtful, even though I’ve only known you people for a month or so.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes on Facebook. You guys really made my day!

Most important of all, thank you mummy for the pain you suffered 20 years ago!

Nothing can express my joy on this day, August the 24th. I’m really grateful to have all of you! =)

First Uni Outing @ Tasty Pot

Uni life in Sunway isn’t that bad after all. Unlike my earlier expectation on them being hi-bye friends, they’re actually a bunch of nice people who are fun to be with. Oh well, perhaps I’m just lucky to have met the right group of friends? =)

Last week, we had our first ever outing at Tasty Pot steamboat.

Photobucket

It’s a buffet style steamboat in Sunway, somewhere around the famous Yuen. The specialty of this shop is the wide variety of soup. We had 6 types of soup for just one table! LOL.

Photobucket

Oyster sauce chicken wings for appetizer!

Photobucket

The guys from left: Ali, Kenneth (sleeping wtf), Daniel Wu Bryan, SK and Amir.

Photobucket

The girls from left: Chloe, Sok Yan, Joanne, Zhi Ruo, Tania and Mei Yan.

Photobucket

There were soooooooooooo many types of seafood in Tasty Pot! Even some sea shells which I rarely see. Heard that the crab there is yummy. Didn’t try it though cause you know, I couldn’t afford to ruin my image infronta those classmates of opposite gender on our very first outing. I hope you guys don’t read this. Nope, not saying that you guys are hot or anything. *puke* HAHA.

Photobucket

The first two girls I hang out with. Zhi Ruo was my A-Level’s classmate by the way.

Photobucket

Mei Yan the sampat girl who always LOL literally.

Photobucket

Then we started to join three of them. There’s always laughter with SK around (the most shameless and lamest joker XD)

Photobucket

Tania from KK who recommended Tasty Pot as it’s opened by her relative.

Photobucket

Erm, adorable. Hiak hiak.

Photobucket

Must-have ice-cream dessert. Total bill was RM28 per person, slightly more than other steamboat restaurants like Yuen. But it’s worth the price if you eat the crabs and all. (I’m teaching you never to go to a steamboat restaurant with people of opposite gender. Hiak hiak)

Photobucket

Group photo.

Photobucket

Last but not least, our camwhore attempts.

Photobucket

Could easily fit in 4 of us without difficulty.

Photobucket

Don’t we all love uni life? =)))
