First Week of Mid Year Break 2012

Happy holiday my fellow Aussie program mates! How are you spending your short 3-week mid-year break?

Went back home for the first week to see my family. Paid a visit to the saloon and got a new hair! Cut + perm + dye at New Top Point saloon. Extremely happy with the outcome this time! XD

Not sure whether it’s because of my new hair or my face has kinda thinned down. Have been using mum’s Eternal Beauty face massager. But now that I’m back in KL, I have to massage with my hands instead. She refused to let me bring it up to KL :(

25^th of June was dad’s birthday.

Tiramisu from Secret Recipe. I must say I’ve tasted better Tiramisu. Wouldn’t recommend this cake. I wanted White Chocolate Macadamia but it wasn’t available. Jeez.

Andrew the future music producer is back from UK for his internship! Went for late night karaoke for the first time in Muar.

My face is cut off but still, posting it up cause it looks cool wtf.

Oh did I forget to mention they’re all ASEAN scholars, which means I was the dumbest person in the group. FML. But on the bright side that makes me less nerdy. Teehee.

Ego boosted x1000 cause Andrew says he’ll sign me up as his first artist. HAHAHAHA. I CAN HAZ INGING TALENT!

Little Red Pants 小红裤

Done with 3 papers, 1 more to go! Last subject is Corporate Law, no doubt the most tedious of all. It’s an open book exam during which we’re allowed to bring in the legislation along with 40 pages of notes. It took me forever to makes those notes ever since the beginning the studies break, and up till now I’m not done yet! Jeez.

Anyway, 少啰嗦！A vain photo to start my post! Place your focus on my eyelid instead of the eye bags! Trust me, they don’t always look like that. Only when I smile in photos. FML.

Sushi Zanmai for lunch with my babes after our Financial Accounting exam the other day. We’re big fans of Tamago Mentai. Teehee.

Sometimes I remind myself no shopping until I start working again but nooooooooooooooooooo there are sales everywhere! Got tempted into MNG and unintentionally bought a knitted long-sleeves top and a pair of red short pants, which I obviously didn’t regret because I love them! Bought another pair of turquoise shorts from P&Co cause it’s cheap, and my a pink Nike cap which I intend to match my new running shoes XD

Actually, the short pants are a tad bit too short. Gotta start working out so my thighs don’t look so fat. Ok fine they don’t look fat now, but just not toned up! :(

A photo of me with my big nerdy specs. Because it has served me faithfully recently, especially when I have no make up on. Definitely the best tool to hide my self-consciousness.

Aside from other awesome music, they even played 2NE1's I'm the best and Big Bang's Fantastic Baby! The atmosphere and crowd were just perfect! I have no reason not to like the Stage! XD

Last Saturday, our fellow MHB bloggers were invited to party at Stage with Dawn Yang, one of the famous Singaporean bloggers. How else to kick off a Saturday night except with such beautiful and lovely babes? So glad to be able to rock the party with all the pretty girls!

Final is preventing me from blogging!

I’m alive! Sincerely apologize for the lack of update. Haven’t been a good blogger for the past few weeks since I was so caught up with final exam. Of course I could have managed my time and spend a few minutes scribbling some thoughts or perhaps posting a few vain photos of myself here. Let’s just say I was too lazy to be bothered :x

My recent shopping haul are too awesome not to be shared! Here’s some stuff I bought from Pavilion and Sunway Pyramid in 2 days’ time. Noticed that white dress with frills and bow? It’s from Zara kids! My new favourite shopping spot! I could fit in that dress for age 11-12! *proud* But that kinda indicates to the world that I have a kiddish body. Wtfreak *not so proud after all*

My Burberry and a friend’s Bally. So I wanted to check whether it was pronounced “bei-li” or “ba-li”. Gotta start burning those fats and get rid of my fugly cellulite! How do you like the shoes? I chose the most striking pair! And it’s pink! The right colour I was looking for! Dragged dad to the shop and made him pay for it! LOL. He said it’s a waste of resources because I would end up wearing it once or twice and keep it forever in my closet -.- Not true.

Hennessy V.S.O.P New Bottle Design by Chris Bangle

Recently, we welcomed the new bottle design of Hennessy V.S.O.P with much awe and excitement.
    

Here’s a brief history of Hennessy V.S.O.P for those who have been indulging in the cognac but haven’t a single clue. The legend of Hennessy V.S.O.P began on 7 October 1817, when the future King George IV of England asked the great French cognac House to supply him with a special cognac described with the words “Very Superior Old Pale”, which was the abbreviated as V.S.O.P.

After nearly two centuries, this cognac’s personality has gone unchanged. Certainly, such an iconic cognac should be presented in a bottle whose curves signify the elegance and generosity of its content, as well as its balance and exceptional harmony. On the latest bottle design of Hennessy V.S.O.P, we witness these innovation brought forth by designer Chris Bangle.

Inspired by the Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle created in 1954, Chris Bangle opted for a thicker base to stabilize it besides accentuating the curve at the side of the bottle. To ease handling, he added a hollow bottom to the bottle.
    

The bottle’s neck has been lengthened, while the shoulders straightened and stretched vertically. Meanwhile, two lines of perspectives were drawn in the glass around the central label to create a pyramid optical effect. This was meant to attract one’s attention to the legendary arm and axe of the Hennessy family which were engraved into the glass itself. The choice of paper and colours for the labels were revised altogether as a reminder of the origins of the cognac.

 

Apart from the bottle, we see some changes in the design of the box. The sides of the box have been refined for a more modern vision. As for the liquid splash with the image of “S” curves, it represents the “Superior” quality of the cognac. One side of the box, called “Black Tie”, glorifies elegant purity on a black background decorated with a band of golden vine leaves, which is a part of the heritage of the Hennessy V.S.O.P box created in 1954.

 

Additionally, the caps of the 35-cl, 70-cl and 3-litre bottles are sealed with a laser stamp and a hologram of increased complexity.
