Valentine @ San Francisco

A few days ago, Hikaru and I celebrated our first Valentine’s Day at San Francisco Steak House. Upon our arrival, there was already a small crowd outside the restaurant, mostly couples who were waiting for their turn to be seated. Hik made a reservation earlier on, so we didn’t have to wait behind the long line.

Once we entered the steak house, I was immediately impressed because the place was dim-lit and romantic, highly up to my expectation, except that it wasn’t Italian. Most of the diners there were couples, but there were also some people who went there for family dinner.

Special menu for Valentine’s.

Photobucket

San Francisco hired some part-timer for that night, for example, see the Bangla behind with the bow and vest? He didn’t even understand English! Gosh. So we assumed that they were only hired to clean the tables.

Free bun for every customer. I love butter! XD

Photobucket

I realized that his tactic of acting cute is looking away from the camera. Teehee.

Photobucket

We ordered one set each, which consist of appetizer, soup, main course and dessert.

Baked Crab Cake with Mustard Mayonnaise. It was really yummy and it certainly turned on my appetite! We finished every bit of it.

Photobucket

Clam Chowder Soup with Leek and Potato. Tastes like clam and darl loves it. Would have been better if the soup was slightly warmer though.

Photobucket

Grilled Centre-cut Sirloin served with Spiced Cajun Shrimps Kebab, California Rice and Boiled Vegetables. We forgot to ask for medium, but it still tastes delicious served well-done. The rice with raisins was yummy too! The only thing I hate was the overcooked shrimps.

Photobucket

Grilled Chilean Cod Fish served with Herbs Potatoes, Vegetables and Beurre Blanc Sauce. The fish is fish-shaped! So cute! XD Isn’t cod fish the one that is used to make bottles of mayonnaise-liked fish cod oil that we used to consume when we were young? I never knew it would taste that good! So smooth and juicy! It’s so much better than my favourite dory! You see the round thingy there? That’s the to-die-for potato! I would finish them all even if you give me 10! My favourite that night, even though it was merely a side dish. *drools* What on earth is Beurre Blanc sauce though? It tastes sour.

Photobucket

Chocolate Fudge with Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream. This is darl’s favourite dish that night, as expected from a kiddo XD

Photobucket

Quote from Hik: How can the night end without a bottle of red wine?

Photobucket

He sounded like some kinda wine critic, didn't he? For someone who doesn't even drink wine! LOLLLLLL. Patritti Dark Grenache Sparkling Grape Juice. Quite a bottle of a costly one.

Photobucket

Hik kept trying to make me mad by gulping it down as if it was some kinda cheap beer. I said he would have to order me another bottle if he really finished it XD

Photobucket

So pattern. LOL.

Photobucket

See the couple behind Hik? They looked really young, probably around high-school age. I think they ordered Alaska Live Lobster, the most expensive choice from the menu. Kids nowadays are really rich, aren’t they? =)

Photobucket

I got really happy seeing the cute baby carrots!

Photobucket

Keeping the cork as a souvenir of our first Valentine together. Teehee.

Photobucket

By the way, San Francisco gave one stalk of red rose to each couple. Later on, when we saw people holding the similar rose, we knew where they’ve been to =P

Photobucket

Hello rose, why you don’t smell like rose?

Photobucket

Handsome boy and pretty rose wtfreak. And why is he trying to stifle a laugh??? *roarrrrrrr*

Photobucket

The next time I pay a visit there, I would probably try out the lobster. Can you believe that I’ve never eaten a lobster in my life??? Jeez. But when I asked Hik how it tastes like, he said it’s no difference from overcooked prawn. You know I hate that! How? Is it really that horrible or what?

By the way, thank you dar dar! I really enjoyed our Valentine’s dinner and that meal really took away all my worries from the previous night. Love you! <3
