[ADV] Chili's Chef Cuts Menu

It’s Christmas time! Time of the year that you get together with family and friends for a good hearty meal and gift exchange session. If you are wondering where to have your Christmas dinner this year, here’s an idea for you. Head down to any Chili’s outlet to try out their limited time Chef Cuts Menu!

Specially designed for the occasion, Chili’s Chef Cuts Menu provides patron more premium choices apart from the variety of Western cuisine served on their regular menu. If you are someone who appreciates steak, this is definitely a great choice for you!

Thanks to Chili’s Malaysia, the girls and I were able to try out all the fantastic premium cuts from their limited time menu at Chili’s Citta Mall.

Before we stuff ourselves with juicy steaks, we snacked a little on Chili’s Bottomless Tostada Chips and the Triple Dipper.

Then came the 5 types of steaks being served one after another.

Texas Trio -  RM57.95

4 oz. salmon on slaw drizzled with honey-chipotle sauce, 8 oz. beef ribs on mashed potatoes drizzled with Chili's classic BBQ sauce, and grilled 4 oz. chicken breast on corn salsa drizzled with roasted garlic BBQ sauce, all sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese and chopped fresh cilantro.

This is the perfect choice for those who can’t make up their mind whether to opt for beef, fish or chicken. You get to have them all! Chili’s was no doubt generous with the sauces which blended well with the dishes.

Spicy Crab Fillet – RM85.95

8 oz. fillet resting on bed of slaw, covered with spicy crab meat and melted Monterey Jack cheese, sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese and chopped fresh cilantro. Served with the new skillet macaroni and cheese.

The crab flavours weren't that strong. We enjoyed the overwhelming cheesy aroma though. Even served with mac and cheese to further satisfy your passion for cheese ^^

Chipotle Bleu Cheese Fillet – RM79.95

8 oz. fillet resting on bed of coleslaw, covered with melted chipotle bleu cheese, sprinkled with chopped fresh cilantro. Served with the new skillet mashed potatoes.

We could tell when this dish was being served as the pungent bleu cheese aroma filled up the air. There aren’t many who appreciate the smell of bleu cheese, but surprisingly I enjoyed this dish! Despite the smell, I thought the bleu cheese topping was a fantastic choice to go with steak! I like my food with lotsa spice for a stronger taste after all.

Glazed Prawns Fillet – RM85.95

8 oz. fillet resting on bed of corn salsa, topped with glazed prawns, sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese and chopped fresh cilantro. Served with the new skillet macaroni and cheese.

Prawn and steak, this has gotta be my favourite dish of the night! The steak was cooked medium rare (I suggest you request for rare if you want it medium rare as that’s what we did) just the way I like it, and the prawns were juicy! No additional sauce or any other condiments were necessary as this combination itself was sufficient to satisfy your taste buds.

New Southwest Beef Ribs Fillet – RM79.95

8 oz. fillet resting on a bed of corn salsa, topped with beef ribs meat and pickled onions, sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese and chopped fresh cilantro. Served with the new skillet mashed potatoes.

I thought the beef ribs topping were alright. I would have preferred having  the steak itself though. The pickled onions were indeed something different from what we were usually served though.

5 main courses done! However no meal is complete without desserts. The limited time menu comes with a special dessert as well!

Chocolate Chipotle Cheesecake - RM21.95

Layers of chocolate chipotle cheesecake and cracker crumbs topped with a dollop of whipped cream. The girls and I really enjoyed this even after all the meat.

Chili’s Chef Cut menu is available from now until 16th January 2016, so if you miss out during Christmas, there’s always New Year celebration or any other day to try out!
