Indulgence Restaurant and Living @ Ipoh

Here’s my review on Indulgence, Ipoh as promised! For those who haven’t come across this little luxurious bungalow restaurant, it’s time you pay a visit for its beautiful interior. I can’t give my opinion on the food though, since we’ve only tried the cakes.

To be honest, the price is kinda too much for a small town like this. But I were to live in Ipoh, I would surely indulge there occasionally for the sake of its ambience! It’s definitely a perfect hang out spot for high-tea and dinner.

In fact the restaurant had won some kinda award of excellence! Not that we consumers really care but still, it’s something for them to be proud of and of course, to add on to the display.

The cake selection.

Look, they even have macarons! The sight of dessert itself is more than enough to make me happy.

Newspaper cuttings all over the wall. A place like this must have been featured quite often.

Simple menu in black and white. It wasn’t time for dinner yet so we only ordered some drinks and cakes. Besides, our trip to Ipoh was meant to try the local delicacies.

Photobucket

Andrew’s Cappuccino.

Photobucket

My Chocomallow – hot chocolate with marshmallow. Tastes as good as it looks.

Photobucket

Aldrich’s TWG tea.

Photobucket

Apple cheesecake.

Photobucket

Chocolate banana which was especially good with the thick chocolate sauce!

Photobucket

The owner made an effort to decorate every corner of the restaurant, even at the washroom area. A wooden mirror and an antique fan have no doubt contributed to the concept of the interior altogether.

Photobucket

And look how they’ve substituted the conventional toilet signs! XD

Photobucket

Photobucket

Yes, I took a photo of the toilet wtf.

Photobucket

Colourful mural to brighten up the atmosphere.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Totally adore their subtle colour scheme.

Some special menu hand-written on the blackboard.

Photobucket

Over all, Indulgence exemplifies a combination of vintage with a modern twist.

Photobucket

By the end of the day, Andrew was so frustrated with me snapping photos here and there he asked me to sit down and stop being so embarrassing wtf :( It was a lovely place so I had to capture from every angle okay! Otherwise I wouldn’t have so many pretty photos for this review. Teehee.

Have you indulged yet?
