Divo Hair Connection is opened daily at Kota Damansara
(Sunway Giza area). It was my first time trying out Divo’s hair service thanks
to the creative director, Bryan who sponsored the complimentary trim, dye and
treatment.
Despite having operated for quite a few years, the saloon
remains fairly new and well-maintained.
Cosy waiting corner. I like how they added some artistic
feel to that area by putting on that photo collage. Reminds me of casting
agencies.
My hair had long faded into dirty gold with bothersome black
roots. It was really time for a change.
According to Divo, the hair dye they use is meant for Asian
hair so the colour wouldn’t fade that easily compared to certain brands.
Trimmed off my damaged spilt ends. Requested to remain the
length as I am in the process of getting back my long volumous hair ^^
Bryan personally dyed my hair! *proud*
I picked a dark colour this time. Something very close to
black but with a subtle tinge of ash green.
They offered a treatment as they washed up my dye. Must have
realized how bad my hair condition was :x

Final outcome - darkened and healthier. Couldn’t be happier
that I have finally gotten rid of my embarrassing dog fur hair. LOL.

and after will be taken. Lovely concept!

Look what just arrived at my doorstep??? A new fragrance in town that is the cutest thing ever! Million thanks to Moschino! Well what’s better than a bottle of a nice
fragrance? A bottle of a nice fragrance that looks like a little teddy
bear!
Moschino - the Italian luxury fashion house
which specializes in ready-to-wear apparel, leather and fashion accessories,
shoes, luggage, and perfumes, was founded in 1983 by Franco Moschino. The fashion
label became famous for its innovative, colourful and sometimes eccentric
designs which broke away from the norms of the conventional designs of Italian
fashion.
In 2006, Moschino designed the outfits for
the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Moschino also
designed outfits for some famous celebrities such as for Kylie Minogue's 2005
Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour, Madonna's 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour, and
six outfits for Lady Gaga for her The Born This Way Ball in 2011-2012.
Moschino also launched fragrances for women
notably Funny! Which was launched in 2007, Glamour which was launched in 2008,
and Pink Bouquet which was launched in 2012.
In January 2015, Moschino launched their
newest fragrance – the Moschino TOY which is a unisex fragrance conceived by
Moschino Creative Director Jeremy Scott. TOY is unlike any fragrance in the
market, boldly redrawing its form, function and fabulousness.
The fragrance is literally a toy. You can
hug and play with the real, fuzzy-faced teddy bear and when you need to use the
fragrance, simply screw off the bear’s happy faced head and you will find an
atomizer built into the bear’s soft body.
After spraying the amount you want, simply
set TOY back down on your vanity table, or toss him on your bed, or place him
together with your other furry stuffed animals. The soft body of the teddy bear
also acts to cushion the atomizer inside against knocks and accidental drops!
“I wanted to push the fragrance beyond the
realm of what a perfume looks like it, or how it’s packaged,” says Jeremy Scott
of his first fragrance for Moschino. “And I think we’ve achieved that!”
Scott shares his unabashed love and
icon-ization of teddy bears with founder Franco Moschino, who previously used
stuffed animals to cover dresses, coats and hats in his fall-winter 1988
collection. Jeremy Scott’s teddy comes with a heart-warming smile and a rather
cheeky T-shirt that states, “This is Not a Moschino Toy.”
Just like a toy that’s sold in a toy store,
the cute teddy bear is housed inside a realistic toy package would be, complete
with clear plastic viewing window, bubble writing instructions to “Try Me” or
“Touch Me” and the exact same back flap and hanging hook that are used to hang
toy on the rack.
The fragrance itself features the scents of
mandarin, cardamom, and bergamot; and a heart of lavender, violet petals, and
hawthorn. Its finish of sandal wood, vanilla, mountain tree moss and acacia
give the woodsy notes reminiscent of the bear’s forest home.
TOY is undeniably humorous, laced with wit
and packed with fun, and offers as a completely innovative way to package a fragrance.
Jeremy Scott’s teddy bear is definitely an unusual emblem in the world of
perfumery, but works to give this unique product a universally recognizable face
which is both captivating and timeless.
TOY is a limited edition fragrance that’s
available in a 50ml EDT size and retails at RM349.00 at Sephora and major
departmental stores in Malaysia.

fragrance “YOU & I” on 5 August 2014 in New York. YOU & I is the third
in the band’s line of fragrances, following “That Moment” and their debut fragrance
“Our Moment”, which broke records to become the fastest selling female
fragrance in 2013.
The band took a little detour from their
‘Where We Are’, World Stadium Tour, to attend the launch event where they
shared about their involvement in the development of the new fragrance – from
scent tests to the bottle design.
Liam Payne comments: ‘We love coming to New
York, so it means a lot to us that we get to launch YOU & I here. As with
Our Moment and That Moment, we worked hard creating the fragrance and making
sure that YOU & I was different to anything we’ve done before. It’s not
easy when you’ve got five different ideas on what smells and looks better – but
I think that’s what makes the end result so special to us.’
The fragrance is named after this One
Direction song.
YOU & I is a bright, floral scent that
is fresh and uplifting. The fragrance is made up of splashes of fresh fruit and
seasonal flowers, infused with an undertone of musk. Bright splashes of mango
and refreshing grapefruit are combined with a heart of creamy osmanthus, exotic
orchid and soft peony that combine to form a romantic signature mirroring the
peak of nature in bloom. Background notes of musk, indulgent praline and
sandalwood blend to give a smooth, seamless harmony.

Richard Herpin, perfumer, commented: “The
scent embodies that unique time between spring and summer when nature is in
full bloom; when everything is at its peak. Juicy fruits and gourmand notes are
paired with fresh florals in a way that is perfectly balanced, achieving a
harmony much like the charismatic dynamic of One Direction.”
The bottle’s design consists of a very
attractive angled glass bottle with a clear lilac overlay, accentuated with
gold outlines, giving the impression of a bottle within a bottle. The elongated
cap follows the same design and the lilac coloured fragrance is complemented
with a detachable charm that you can remove and wear once you’ve finished the
fragrance.
The golden charm which is meant to be a
gift from the band to their fans, is lined with glittering ornaments and signed
on one side with: ‘ONE DIRECTION’. The box showcases two images of each band
member – a strong monochrome image contrasting against a more intimate and
softer photo.
Chad Lavigne, bottle designer, commented, “After
watching the guys transition over the past two years, I was slightly obsessed
with finding a new balance in the next bottle design; something that had a more
avant-garde voice while still holding onto the energy that the guys deliver in
everything they do. The graphic illustration of the “bottle within bottle” felt
incredibly unique and personal while the form of the bottle and cap felt quite
precious.”
